Ohm wrecker g1 34 bucks refurb

Thought about getting a ohm wrecker g1 special edition on sale for 34 dollars are they any good. Just got a Dna 200 hotcig dx200 as my first mod and kind of want something a little simpler to have to and with replaceable battery's. What do you guys know/think about this mod? Seems like a really good deal for 34 i think it's a refurb as well if there's any opinions on that. Thanks guys

It's different not better than a DNA but I would definitely take it over a Snow Wolf.

The g1 is great if you want a strict power mod. The g2 is great.

Like deuces mentioned it is different than a DNA200, i have both and love them. The DNA200 is more like a surgeons scalpel, precise and technical. If you are in to tweeking than the DNA200 has all chips beat.
The Hohm FSK chip is like a meat cleaver in a best butchers hand. Real powerful and no nonsense but what you get as a finished cut of meat is delicious.

Once you figure out how to adjust the FSK percentage and just use the all metals mode (xxx) the G2 is an awesome mod. The fact that you can TC Kanthal gives it the edge but if you want the utmost in accuracy than the DNA200 has the edge.

I was about 90% power user before the G2, now i vape all of my tanks in TC mode, only use power on my other mods.

I like the way you chose to word that comparing the scalpel and cleaver.
Like you, I also am now starting to use TC on all my tanks.
Since I have 3 of the G2s I get to test many tanks in TC and have been spending the time to dial each of them in documenting my preferences.
The FSK is the real true adjustment that needs time spend for perfection.
I'd like to say that if pre-heat was an optional addition, the G2 would be tits.
Can I say that? Too late.
Not sure how many mods have pre-heat but I'd like it to become a standard feature.

@Paratech , try just boosting the power on the G2 to mimic pre-heat, I did that recently and yeah, much shorter hit for a lot of clouds.

I've seen the IPv4 and ipv2 for way more than that so I kinda just pulled the trigger hoping it's a nice one when I don't want the bulkier ones and the Xpro won't let me vape .2 or .15 which is most of what I have

Tested both (Insanity mode and Increasing power)
They both had a short term positive effect, followed by seeming like it was just turned up too high.
The Insanity mode was the best short term change.
Increasing the power was the best long term change.
However neither seemed to be the setting I was after.
I think properly matching the FSK, power, and temp is going to be the ideal solution.
I just haven't finalized my settings.
Getting a lot closer the longer I have them though.

It is THEE Best and Only Regulated Mod I would suggest or recommend everyone to own....and I dont say that about everything...I actually sold just about all my other boxes and havent had a want for a new regulated box since owning one (3-4 months now) and coupled with the Boreas RTA the only other items for vaping Ive been interested in are Mechs and RDA's.....Before that setup I bought anything and everything that was being released, which is crazy-save yourself the headache and grab the same setup. You will not regret it!

I havent really been on much lately since Ive been incredibly busy with work, work #2, kids and coils lol but Im trying to get in a groove so I can get on here more again to help out where I can. I appreciate your gratitude and that is why I joined the forum, to give insight and help while learning as much as I can from others who share!
