would be nice if we could get enough gamers from the same platform be it PC Xbox whatever to have like a VU frag fest or a quest fest or whatever floats the gamers boat :)

Oh brother, what I would have given at lower levels for a glitch day like that! Toward the end there I had everything and about 30 characters to store it all. However, there's nothing like that first Conference Call, etc. Well, maybe that level 4 Fire Bee I lucked into one day that would last me for ten levels...
I remember farming the bee, even after it was nerfed. I also used to exploit the "elevator" glitch to the treasure room in leviathans lair. Fun stuff. I had no BL morals, lol. I beat it legit enough times to just go wild after a while. I was never partial to the conference call, either. It also tended to freeze my PS3 in crazy fights. It was overhyped.

I was in the alpha for Destiny, and knew it wouldn't be, but I think I wanted another Borderlands... I need to change my expectations to enjoy it more, though I'm tempted to trade it for TLOU Remastered. I loved that game, single and multi player, and wanna play it on PS4.

TLOU on PS4 is pretty much the same slightly better graphics....waste of money if you have the PS3 version already which is what GTA5 is going to be on next gen

Im a FPS shooter guy I did enjoy Diablo the original but In my younger years I remember turning all of the University networks into a huge doomnet haha I play every once in a blue moon going from pong to now I have not seen any real advances in gaming in Eons as Tim Sweeny said from EPIC for them to build the engine that they want to computer power has to incrase over 100 fold.. well now we have seen that is not happening and we are slowing down but then again I remember the magazines in the mid 90's saying Virtual reality was just around the corner :)

Or create a massive urban VU map with a SDK. All the weapons are mods, all the spells are diy recipes, and I can think of one boss for sure. The name begins with J. ;)

No TLOU on the PC, the only way I play. Probably for the best. After my year-long B2 run I detoxed with one playthrough of Far Cry 3, one of Bioshock Infinite, then one of LA Noire, which was like tapering off of bath salts via crack > librium > phenobarbital. Seriously, I'm taking a big break from gaming.

Hilarious analogy, lol. I couldn't finish Far Cry 3, though it was a great game. I played through all of Infinite, and still need to finish L.A. Noire. I'm on that break phase, too. I tend to get super into gaming for a while, then I neglect it for a while. Getting into mechs and rebuildables kinda has taken over my hobby time for a while.

And @MEENMAN83 I traded in TLOU and GTAV for PS4 games in anticipation of getting the remasters. I definitely want TLOU for the DLC campaign which I didn't purchase when I found out it would come with the remaster. It's supposed to be excellent, and I truly loved that game, so I want the extra backstory into Ellie. Also, I played the fuck out of multiplayer, and my buddy says it has a ton of new maps. I got really into multiplayer on TLOU. I totally neglected it at first, then my friend and I jumped in one night and it drew us in like crack.

Ah then go for it I just wish the game was longer I remember Earthbound being LONG now the games are short and want you to shell out a few more fazooles for DLC.

Yeah, the DLC, and season pass shit sucks. At least you know they're gonna support the games, though. BL2 pissed me off when the season pass I bought didn't include krieg, and was it gauge? I think it was, and the level cap increase I believe as well. But, torgues DLC, and tiny Tina's DLC were great, though short. Torgue is fucking hilarious. EXPLOSIONS! Lol. He says so much funny shit.

Also, I feel like TLOU took me a good bit to get through, granted I took my time for sure. IMO that game really was the best of the last gen, a real great way for ps3 to go out, so to speak. The first bioshock was incredible, too. Another one that kinda revolutionized things at the time IMO. I didn't like 2, and Infinite was cool, but rapture is a far better world to be in, plus the ending made no fucking sense. Gears of war was the tipping point for me to get a 360, and Uncharted 2 did the same for me and a ps3. Gears really fell off after the first one, but the Uncharted series is great. I'm excited for the ps4 one. The Division looks incredible, too.

Vape beta... Awesomely nerdy lol. I just go nuts with games when I find one or two or three I dig, and burn myself out. One of my best friends lives kinda far, and gaming is our main social interaction. He's fucking hardcore and it bums him out when I fall off. He pushed me to get destiny, and I've been letting him down... At least he has others to play with, and he's addicted to FFIV which his girlfriend also plays, so he's busy, lol. I did the FFIV thing for a couple months, and it just bored the fuck out of me. It's cool and I respect it, just not my thing.

Lol... I gave him my FFIV character, and he's literally made millions with it. And his girlfriend is pretty hardcore like I said, but it hear ya. I pretty much only game with friends. I suppose I'm just on a break... So many games are coming soon I want, I won't be able to afford them anyway, but I'll be picky and start up again.

All this Borderlands talk has me wanting the pre sequel... Again, I'm pissed they only did last gen. Don't wanna sound snobby, but going back to PS3 after PS4 is rough. I have a seven year old 720p tv, too, and it still is just night and day. Not as good as a P.C., but it just makes PS3 look like shit.

Yes gearbox pissed me off with BL2 great game but honestly they were lazy and wanted money. All the guns were just reskinned and DLCs were shorter seeming only because you didnt have to drive through 5 pointless highways to reach raid bosses....i think the seq/prequal is a grab for money ill buy it but not sink lots of money into it as it should have been the DLC that wrapped up BL2....and it being on last gen consoles means the shits been made since BL2 was released. Yes the division looks very nice I just wish the new ones where splitscreen lets me play more by letting my wife play at the same time vs buying another tv and console

Gearbox has done some questionable stuff, for sure. I was really pleased overall with BL2, though, I dug the weapons and variety. I thought Torgues Campaign of Carnage was well worth it and awesome, fairly good length, too. Tiny Tina's DLC was great, but SOOO short. The other two were forgettable.

From the reading I've done, the pre sequel truly is a legit full game... It's just hard headed and lazy IMO to only offer last gen. It's been a year at this point, and the current consoles have even had price drops, so they should have at least made a polished up one for the new hardware. Tomb Raider, TLOU, and soon GTAV have done it, so no excuse IMO. I think they're a cheap studio, they just have a great franchise in Borderlands, and hopefully a third installment will come, I can't imagine it won't.

Remember, no Sand Hawk or Pimpernel without Captain Scarlett! (Not to mention the Norfleet, etc.) Those two alone were worth the DLC.

True, I was trying to remember what the name of the weapon was, and it's the Sandhawk. I fucked up and didn't realize it's value, especially against pyro Pete, and ditched it initially. The raid bosses there can be good to farm, too. Master gee is ridiculously hard, and I can't remember the other dude, but he's manageable. Also, you can farm the norfleet somewhere else I can't remember the name of, lol, by getting those bugs I can't remember the name of either, to morph into the fucking huge ass ones, and killing them. It's been a while since I've played.

Varkids... I think that's the name, and you get it to spawn to the fucking gigantic one. They drop nor fleets if you're lucky, and there's an area with a good barn to hide in to kill em.

Also, you're right with captain Scarlett's value for leviathans lair, as well. Once I beat the game so many times, I lost my morals, and used the elevator glitch to farm the treasure room. I suppose I have no video game morals, once I've beaten them at least. I never cheat until I've beaten it legit first. Then it's fair game, but it can ruin things, too.

Hyperius and Vermivorous for the Norfleet, the latter being very time consuming to get to emerge. Agreed, Master Gee was bullshit. Agreed, incredibly annoying to farm Pete without a Sand Hawk and Bee. Though going face to face with Pete as Sal, gunzerking Unkempt Herold and Grog Nozzle, was great fun after all that running and hiding as other characters.

That's the name! And I pretty much only use Sal, and the unkempt Harold is by far my favorite weapon. I usually have two equipped at a time. Grog nozzle is super fun, too. Sounds like we have the same playing style in that game.

And again, I only beat master gee once in all the hours I put into that game. He was annoying to get to, and virtually impossible. Hyperius is doable, and Pete was my primary raid boss to farm. Vermivorous is tough to spawn, and tough to kill as well. Fuck man, I forgot the unkempt Harold... Another reason to love torgue... That gun is by far the best in the game if you get the right one, plus if you do enough bar brawls you can buy them rather than farm them, which is handy.

Got my first Infinity in Leviathan's treasure room, but otherwise not worth it. After many legit solo returns, I finally just used the save/restore technique to repeat. Even so, almost all purples at best. I finally classified the treasure room as bullshit too.

Man, this is all bringing back fond memories, lol. Also making me remember how much they NEEDED to make the pre sequel for current gen. If you have a bunch of unkempt Harold's conference calls and norfleets for instance, you get serious fps slowdown, and it's the only game that would crash my ps3. It already was pushing the limits of the hardware, and would be fine and maintain framerate and be gorgeous on current gen... Oh well.

I had good luck with the treasure room. The day they fucked up drop rates it was fucking hilarious... Every chest would have at least one, if not all legendaries. It was crazy.

Edit: infinity with unkempt Harold is also a great combo, especially with the right prefixes.

Sal was the last character I played, even after Krieg. I avoided him forever because I thought he was too messy. :D (Krieg of course is the messiest.) Then, when I finally played as Sal, I realized he was by far the easiest character, and revisiting all the bosses with him was an incredible breeze and carefree fun. Learned to appreciate that grunty runt.

I'm so glad I didn't buy that. That was fucked. They used fake screenshots and all. I think there was a lawsuit at least attempted. It's always worrisome when there are embargoes on reviews, they didn't want a ton of cancelled preorders.

Now, alien isolation looks pretty sweet, plus, sigourney weaver and the cast are voicing at least one DLC, not sure about the rest. It should do the movies justice. I have my eye on that one, also I'm interested in shadow of mordor. It got a 9.2 I think on ign, I'll redbox it for sure.

Yeah, I tend to be a careless run in and start gunning like crazy type of guy in those style games... Needles to say, though sal wasn't really a true tank, he fit my play style perfectly.

It does look good.. but not really my type of game.. very little gunplay.. mostly about stealth and waiting around for the right time to move.. and I do think that seems suspenseful - just don't think I would pay for that game because I dont see too much replayability.. I'm all for stealth games, but need it to be broken up a little bit

That glitch day again. You lucky f***er.
Lol... I remember calling my buddy who was working that day, and he said something similar, along with don't fucking log off, lol. I stayed logged in for at least 12 hours. I'm glad I'd already played the fuck outta that game by then, since honestly, it would've ruined it in a way. I already had most of the stuff, I just was able to get so many different prefixes and all.

And @VapedCrusader it will probably be a redbox for me, I enjoy those games but agree about the replay value issues.

Yup, I'm sure. My gaming rig is a DIY PC so my issues are different. Doing it yourself does not save you anything to begin with, but over time the payback is huge. Generational upgrades are incredibly cheap to make. But this is not really the place for platform discussion...

I feel the same about last gen. My PS3 is now hooked up again so I can steal HBO GO from my sister, lol, but playing with it just isn't satisfactory. It's a bummer that you don't have good stock around you, the variety isn't great, and sometimes I have to go to a box that's a bit further than some, but they stock and have stocked PS4 games for months now.

@TheWestPole no need to go deep into it, but you're absolutely correct. I had a gaming P.C. I built in 2003, I still have it, I moved to apple afterwards. Anyway, I know the fun of a P.C. Rig, and I'm sure borderlands was way better on it. It took me a long time to be able to even play, let alone be decent at FPS when I got a 360. A mouse and keyboard is superior for sure, and if you've got the coin, you can build a rig that already will beat current gen. I just like macs, mine is 6 years old and for the most part runs like new, no PC would do that, and I've never re installed my os or defragged, so I just do consoles now.

Oh... ATI X800 Pro via PCI with a huge 256 mb RAM FTW, lol. That's what's in my old pup, along with a hyper threading pentium 4 at 2.4 ghz and I think 4-8 gigs of ram, a huge 80 gig HD, too. Lol.

I agree, but you have to game on something. Luckily Windows 8 is failing so 7 will stick around a little longer. Although the updates may be substantial, my pc sure looks great and the graphic are clear.

Windows 7 is better and will stick around, but MS won't offer you a full version anymore, only OEM. Nor will they offer DirectX upgrades. Nor will they...

I wish eveything wasnt focused on being online and grinding hours for crap. I have kids now, I just want them to be like the old days play for an hour and have fun. Now an hour is just halfway through the unskippable how to play modes....oh well government is the same way We cant waterboard/baptize a terrorist and get intel in 30 seconds instead We have to surveil for months and years.....or enter a cheat code and drone strike whenever with your latte salute

I was actually just thinking of that playing Destiny last night.. I'm in grind mode right now.. spent 2 hours and got one item that I could actually use, and it still didn't give me the boost I needed..

The boss fights alone can last 30-45 minutes.. let alone the raids that can last 4-6 hours.. AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!

I enjoyed the grind in borderlands, since there were SOOO many weapons, it was rewarding and addictive. Now FFIV was a yawn, repetitive, I literally fell asleep while playing and talking to my friend numerous times, plus the monthly fee I can't do.

I really need to load up Destiny again, I just have no desire. I shouldn't have succumbed to peer pressure to buy it, but oh well. And fuck 4-6 hours, that's too much for me.

I just wish it was more than 3 player coop.. I mean.. its either 2 or 4.. always has been in coop games.. 3 is just a tease.. always have one of my friends left out.. or i'm the left out when if I get on too late lol..

I do think its still a really fun game with friends.. but at the same time it can be very frustrating with the difficulty raised high.. (Even though I do like a good challenge, it can be annoying dying every 2 seconds).. They will be tweaking the drop rates soon and buffing some weapons (like the terrible shotgun) so i think it would be worth picking it back up down the road.. once they fix some issues with it. Plus the expansions will add so much content. Even still - there are so many good games coming out soon that it might be too late to save it..

Not sure if you have seen anything about 'The Evil Within' or 'Dying Light' but those 2 games I'm very anxiously waiting for!

I agree with TBCArmor. The best part about Borderlands 2 is the coop IMO. I played it on pc with a few friends and was very entertained. The bosses were tough and I could do all the extra missions in my free time when my buddies couldnt get together due to life stuff.
