Actually, I lied. It started working again surprisingly. Was about to throw it in the junk drawer.
is it possible for mosfets to overheat but not burn out?
Either way, the box isn't for sale no longer, I don't consider it saleable any longer.

I never had one but it's suppose to have protection in the form of a fuse that blows if the build is below .25, correct me if I am wrong, "I am curious about that feature on a authentic

It can be damaged. If you are handy with a soldering iron, you can replace it pretty cheaply, like $2-3.

Maybe I am thinking of the V2?

I think your referring to the V2 which is in a series battery config., this is the V1's that is a parrallel config.
