Cuboid Broken - Please suggest PROBLEM free upgrade.

My Cuboid has the Atomizer short problem. The 510 connector is done for. I have tried everything to get the 510 connector to pop out. It doesn't work and I think in the process of trying to dig it out I messed up the connector for good.

Looking to replace my Cuboid with something that has ZERO issues. No SHALLOW BULLSHIT 510 connector and no reliability or build issues. I also want to make sure it uses the same batteries as the Cuboid so I don't have to buy new batteries.

PLEASE SUGGEST!

ipv 3li. no SS TC and only up to 165w

but i bought one used 16-17 months ago and it stiull works like new and i use it EVERY DAY, have dropped it more times then I can remeber. most reliable mod I have ever owned

in fact this was like a 120-150 mod when released
the price finally dropped to about 80 6 or more months ago, but hasnt dropped more
because it is a great mod and highly regarded. While the newer ipv5 started at like 60-80 and is already being sold for $29 with free shipping

If the absolute newest thing on the market isn't a requirement, I feel that it's hard to go wrong with an IPV3Li. I've had mine for almost a year with zero issues. These things are built like a tank, and mine had taken a fall onto concrete from about 3 feet and aside from a little scratch, it's no worse for wear
I'm sorry I can't make any suggestions for anything newer as far as dual 18650 mods are concerned, but all the later mods I've bought were single 18650 mods. I'm sure you'll get plenty of other suggestions though..

If you do the firmware update, the Li will do 200 watts, but I've never had mine over 100.

I think if you buy an IPV3 Li it will come updated to the 200w. I had one but recently traded it; it's a great mod. I'd also consider the IPV5 which has a very nice 510 and does everything you need.

Lots of great mods out there and real cheap right now. IPV5 is a work horse and can be found for under $30 if you look hard enough. Hohm Wrecker G2 is built like a brick shit house and can be had for Under $80. The slice is nice too, not built as well but it has a 500 day warranty. The Hcigar VT133 is my favorite DNA and it's under $90. The coolfire 4 TC is put together real nice and it's a quality mod with a very under rated board.

id love to tell you the ipv5 is as durable as the ipv 3li. but i dont know. it aint been out as long. I can tell you this about IPV products
i own 3 of them now
i also have owned several isticks a KOOPOR PLUS by Smok and now i just got a dimebox form xohm a few weeks ago.

I have been wanting an ipv 5 since they were announced. I never bought one for the ismpple reason. I DIDNT NEED ANOTHER MOD. Then the FDA regs came down and I wanted at least one more mod for backup purposes. I wanted anotehr mod that i could rebuild if needed regardless of FDA regs.
SO I got the DImebox to fill that need. I got the IPV5 for 2 reasons. 1 i got it for $29 shipped new 2. ITS IPV

My koopor shit the bed last week after 6 months of use
my first ipv od was the ipv d2. bought that in mrch of last year. it fell into the dish water for a few minutes
GUESS WHAT I still use it today and it works like new
I bought a ipv 3li about a month after teh d2. the 3li was used and was like 3 months old. I have dropped it and every mod i own numerous times on concrete/asphalt you name it from as high as 10 ft. It still woks like brand new.

IPV makes good quality products. They have been trouble free for me for going on close to 18 months now. Thats why i invested in another IPV product. I nothing else i have ever bought has lasted like these mods. Yes other ocmpanies make just as good products. NOt sure who..i hear the hohmwreckers are awesome and some of those dna devices and the rx200s. but i have never used them myself so i cant testify to tehir durability or quality. But I can testify that you would be very happy with a IPV. The IPV5 maybe built as well and be as durable as my 3li and d2 but only had it a few weeks and only used it once and then stored it for when I need it.

What he said. The VT133 is a great mod that is a workhorse (uses 2 x 18650's). Probably my favorite DNA200 mod at this time. With the link I quoted above and a 10% code you can get is shipped for a hair under $80.

PS I have the IPV3 Li and it's big, boxy and doesn't have adjustable TCR or support SS in TC. It's a nice mod but I'm over that boxy design and no SS TC is a deal breaker for me.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit Don't be fooled by dual 18650 mods that claim 200 watts or more. Most won't come anywhere near that claim. Quite frankly I'm sick of the BS most mod companies pull in regard to their power specs (Evolv excluded because Dicodes and them seem to be the only companies at present not doing it)

Those companies that make 2x18650 200W mods that only reach 200W at a very specific resistance (if you're lucky), do it because their customers demand it and their competitors do it also.
Evolv just decided not to play that game and make a stable 133 instead.

I bought an IPV3 Li a few months back because I have always wanted one. While the lack of SS TC was not a deal breaker for me, the sheer size of it had me scratching my head as to why I bought it. After the initial excitement wore off, it was basically used to to check resistance and pulse coils. I traded it off and don't really miss it.

Another option is the new ipv400 just got mine and it's fantastic. 44 bucks shipped to my door.
This mod is dual 18650 but super tiny and best of all the board in this one has resolved some of the issues the ipv5 had. The battery door is unique on this one and works on a matching system so you will never have an issue with the battery door wiggling. It also is the first ipv mod with dual replaceable batteries that actually works.
Form factor, price, and functionality it's a no brainier.

What issues with the IPV5?
I don't understand what you mean by this; "It also is the first ipv mod with dual replaceable batteries that actually works."
Just trying to understand.

Don't know of any issues with the IPV5 besides it being a bit ugly, but that's nothing compared to how ugly the IPV400 is ;)

Since most if not all dual series 18650 mods have an input limit of 25 amps and two fully charged cells in series are 8.4V resting voltage (2 x 4.2v). That's resting voltage, the minute you fire the mod you get voltage sag and will be under that, How do they do 200 watts without pulsing. You also have to take into account the boards inefficiency. So even fully charged with with the boards inefficiency taken into account, they won't do 200 watts. Since every time the mod fires the voltage will drop more, it only gets worse throughout the run.
Don't know of any issues with the IPV5 besides it being a bit ugly, but that's nothing compared to how ugly the IPV400 is ;)
It had the glitch where some wouldn't adjust past 75 or 125 watts without having to put it in TC then back into power mode. Lots of people also have the glitch where the adjust buttons stop working at times. I think for the money it's a great mod but it does have a couple of issues.

Cheers,
Steve

The issues I referring to is the up and down buttons not responding intermittently and the wonky battery door.

Ohh I see.
Very bad on my part but since I got mine I haven't went back to read further reviews.
Since I got it so early there were no reports that I found on the button issue.
So, due to not checking, I thought mine was a fluke.
I do indeed have this particular issue.
It kind of pisses me off at times but I otherwise like the mod enough to not knock it.
Bad on my part.
As for the battery door, not sure what you mean.
I just slide it down a bit and lift.
Not had any issues.
But now that you bring these two things to my attention, I'll check out more reviews just to see.
Now I am curious about the battery door.

The battery door seems to move a little and sometimes depending on how it is held can pop the entire battery door off. A silicone sleeve fixed that though . But the button is super obnoxious
