Beware RX200

I purchased a RX200 5 weeks ago and the metal connector for the USB fell out and will no longer charge or attach for download any soft ware updates.

I purchased this product from a vape shop in Georgia and am now in Virginia. My wife and I live full time in our 36' motorhome - yes we are retired and I did not keep the box.

I contacted the manufacturer in China as I couldn't get back to the shop I purchased it from and after 10 emails including a jpeg showing the date of purchase, the store name as well as how much I paid for it, I was advised that since I no longer had the box with a serial number on it ,the warranty could not be honored and there is no way that they can determine if the product was produced by them.

I guess that I have learned not to buy anything from them again.

would not take much for a manufacturer to put a serial number and distributor number on mod

You should learn at least two things from this experience.
1 You ALWAYS keep the box and receipt. Without it, you have no warranty.
2 These mods are CHEAP throw away shit. Spend your money cautiously and wisely.

5 weeks is unlucky i never go above $50 for a mod so if i get 6 month out of it thats fine
if i dont get at least that i would not use that manufacturer again.

Going with user error 150%.

Sorry man I do not believe you nor the thousands of ham handed customers who did the same shit to their cellphones..
Never the user's fault.

I call BULLSHIT it fell out, sounds more like dug out or jammed in so hard it fucked the soldering and carriage.

It's not cool to insinuatel someone is lying when you have no proof of that.

What's bullshit here is Wismec's/Joyetech Customers support. It's the same way when their bullshit 510 connectors break and they say it's your fault because you used a non Joyetech atty. They use any excuse they can come up with to avoid supporting their product.

There is a huge difference between a company like that and Evolv. I had a problem with a DNA200 once and they told me to send it in. They never even asked me for a receipt or where I bought it from. That's why I buy DNA mods and don't buy Joyetech Bullshit! If the company refuses to stand behind their products, I refuse to buy them!

Nope going with user error.
Unless charging ports world wide were falling out forcing wismec to change the design or recall then they know it is user error.
USB/Mico/mini is a crap design for battery charging but a good one for data xfer.

I have repaired tens of thousands of cell phones* and electronic devices** over the years and I can count on one hand the MFG defective ports I have found.
Charging a rx without an outside charger is asking for issues. Again not the MFG issue, but user abuse issue.
Hair thin contacts on a paper thin plastic center post... ya repeated use is not going to cause a failure.

Buy an external charger and another set of batteries. Vape that thing till it breaks down and dies.

No Box no way to show an authentication code. That is more important to have then the store receipt. I feel sorry your MOD broke but you can't expect them to warranty it if you can't prove it isn't a fake. Good Luck

Even if it is legit user abuse is not a mfg issue.

That is a moot point without an authentication code they say tough. In the experience I had with a warranty issue picture of the code and a video of the problem resulted in a new MOD sent.

Kind of a ridiculous requirement by the manufacturer if you ask me. Who the fuck is cloning a $35 mod? How much is the clone selling for $9? Wismec knows it's theirs, just do the right fucking thing.

Idk, I didn't think they'd go to the trouble to 'clone' or rewrap $6-8 batteries but apparently someone's pinching pennies. I'd recommend going with an external charger also and continue to use the mod til it's dead.

No comparison. It costs a hell of a lot less to print a bullshit wrap and buy some cheap ass sub par battery as opposed to building a whole mod.
