Hello all,

I have one of these coming tomorrow and was wondering how people are getting along with them. Other than a Goliath 2 (which I hate and never use) this will be my first RTA. If you own one, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts and any tips.

Thanks

Love mine. Didn't like the restricted draw it has at full open at first, but the flavor it gives changed my mind. I can live with the draw. Never any leaks. Easy fill. Easy wick. Easy builder. O.k. on consumption. I have another on it's way if that helps.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

I was wondering about the airflow. I am normally an open and airy type guy but I don't mind the trade off if the flavor is good.

Dont worry about the airflow. If you find it a bit restrictive, sit your coil a little higher/farther from the air channel below the coil or use a smaller diameter coil so you wont have to use much cotton. I find those solutions free up more than enough airflow.

I totally love my Serpent Mini. Never bought another rta after it. No leaks at all and flavor is better than my Moonshot. It also allowed me to use my Mini Volt again since I can now vape at a measly 20-23w. Lets my Mini Volt last the whole day now. This rta is a champ. Love it.

I love both of mine. 'Nuff said.

As a side note... there's a 25mm, 4 or 5ml version coming out. I'm very interested.

I have one, flavor is great. I DO have a bit of seeping around the AFC, though. Gonna play around with the wicking to see if that'll take care of it, but the flavor is really good. I'm a MTL vaper that prefers an airy draw. I wouldn't call this a DL tank, though. I've experienced those and I wouldn't put this one into that category, even with the AFC wide open.

I like it, good flavor, airflow like I like, but I don't think I'd seek out a 2nd one.

It's a good one, also have a second one on the way. Paired it with a Target Mini, makes a good pocket/stealth mod.

If you twist your coils counterclockwise, the legs will lay down right into the post slots without an extra bend. I keep the wicks up off the very bottom of the juice well cutouts.

Well it took the PO an extra 5 days but it looks like my serpent finally got delivered. Too bad I'm out of town and won't get to use it until Friday.

Come to think of it... the rather odd internal design of the Triton RBA head requires a CCW twist as well.

It seems odd that a company would do that... it's obviously a conscious decision.

I love my serpent mini!

Has the right amount of airflow for me (I usually have it half open) and certainly has great flavor.

One issue I have is that if a bit of a strong flavor leaks into the AFC base, it takes a good amount of effort to get it out. Another is that I go through streaks of dry hits. Ill go through several wonderful tanks, and then it'll be nothing but dry hits. Sometimes its that way right from the start, but upon examination, wicks will be nice and saturated. Can't figure it out  and I've tried everything I can find online.

Still one of my go-to tanks though!

I tried it more closed and open wide and didn't notice much difference, but I also felt that way about Merlin.

?????

While the Merlin is a bit airier wide open, mine both close down considerably.

In fact, with the AFC closed, my Li' Serpent is way beyond "milkshake through a straw" tight.

Well, closed, yeah, I noticed a difference. But slightly opened and open all the way, not so much. Same with Merlin. I mentioned it to another member and she totally agreed on Merlin.

My "style" is that I already have a consistent draw and I use the AFC to match it and fine tune flavor, so that certainly impacts my perception.

Just in testing it now, I noticed a bit of a difference in airflow, though certainly not huge. I do notice it gives me better flavor, but again, its not revelatory or anything.

I have liquid flow meters, but I'm not sure they would give the best results in testing this. No air flow measurement at my disposal :( I'm actually a bit surprised/disappointed some youtube people don't do such tests. So much is still subjective.

image.jpeg I finally got my hands on the Serpent Mini and I can already tell this is going in my regular rotation. I wicked it and right off I knew I had too much cotton but decided to give it a try anyways. Sure enough, it was dry hitting on anything longer than a 2 second pull. So, I pulled out the deck, did a little trimming and it worked perfectly. I have a .3 SS Clapton at 40w and the flavor / vapor production is wonderful. Oh and not a drop from the AFC.. So far, I love this little guy.

Oh, one question, is the drip removable? It doesn't seem like it is...

so how do you rate it alongside the 2 goblin minis.
Flavor, I'd say is on par, really good! But compared to the v1, more leaky. Compared to the v2, less leaky. The v2 is more finicky, and if the wicking is not perfect, it pours down your mod.

Here's my quick take on it:
Love the build quality and size. Sits perfectly on my pico. Draw is restricted, but more airy than my kanger subtank mini. No leaks, no dry hits so far. Builds easily. Flavor is subpar to the subtank mini, but after switching the drip tip to a narrower one, it can go toe to toe with it (maybe even better). Only downside is the capacity, though i'd rather fill more frequently than drip, especially when driving. Also loving that replacement blue o-ring!
