Pre Ordering a New Device/Tank That Comes out After Aug. 8th?

I have my eye on the Volcano Lavabox M DNA75, and the Sense Herakles Honor sub ohm tank that will not be released until the middle of August. Would pre-ordering one of these be wise with the upcoming cutoff date of August 8th? Any consequences? Not sure what, if any problems would come up.

Come October I'll be sent to the hole. Then hung drawn and quartered. If I don't have receipts to show. You'll be fine :D

I am wondering about this as well. I think I will wait until the dust settles after 8-8, I have already hoarded enough anyway

I've pondered this question myself - I think it depends on how - and if - the FDA goes about interpreting and enforcing the deeming regs.

With out naming names, I know a person that says they will order whatever they want from China after 8/8. They are looking forward to new technology in the future. F the FDA.

I've personally decided to adopt the wait and see attitude, as I've stockpiled plenty to last for a very long time - years if needed.

However, I definitely look forward to future advances in vaping, I just want to know how the stupid game is supposed to be played before rolling the dice.

I have no intention of ever breaking the law and do not want to be anybody's test case.

Chris- FYI, some of the new Herakles tanks, of which there are many (Honor, Pro, Pro Nano, Weirdo), as well as new coils for both the Herakles VI/Herakles Honor line.... and the Herakles Plus family of tanks, are starting to appear online now, in stock not just preorder. Just ordered Honor 0.4 coils for Herk V1, and the new 0.6 coils for the Plus. They are available at Element Vape, Premium Vape Supply (a little cheaper), and in bits and pieces on eBay. The Pro/Nano looks like a fatboy version of the Plus, and the Weirdo looks like a Cleito.

I was really wanting the Lavabox DNA75 and the IPV6, but as not looking too promising they will be released before 8/8, I have not risked pre-orders, as not released by then, they won't be allowed on the market, sure probably get refunded, but I'm not taking that risk.

I'm going to get the Eleaf Ipower 80w and the Joyetech Ultimo tank for now. Ill hit the local swap meets for the gear that gets released after 8/8. Luckily, I only live a few miles from the Mexican border and new stuff is always available at the swap meet.

We'll have to wait and see what exactly will happen @ChrisL

From what I know at this time, as others, all vaping products (MODs, atomizers, batteries, etc.) currently out at this time, will not be effected (**depending on your state, county, or city ordinances) until August 8th. After August 8th, only new products that come out to the market will need to meet FDA approval and satisfy it's guidelines. I wish I knew what exactly will happen with new "vaping" products after the deadline; slower/less products coming to the market, less voltage/wattage in new devices, rise of prices across the board for all products, juice company closures as well as vape shops, who knows, hard to say, we're all in the backseat, I F'ing hate thinking about it. Brings me down. This has changed my life and made me stop smoking and I've been vaping since 2012.

But if you can get new products you wanted that come out to the market in the middle of August, which is after August 8th, I'm not sure, maybe check with the company and ask or ask someone who's read the actual legislation who understands it. I only know what I've stated. You can always still purchase current products out in the market after August 8th if they have already been out. In example, KF5, TFV8, DNA mods, etc shit that's out right now is fine, you can still purchase a KF5 in September, October, November. I'm sure you can find the actual black and white print of the guidelines somewhere, I haven't nor do I want to. Trying to keep updated as I learn real info about all of this. Here at VU, CASAA, and other media news sources.

I'm lucky as hell and live in Texas, our state government has left vaping products alone, we have the freedom to buy, purchase, sell, & trade any and all products at this time. All the media that I've watched, all the people I've spoke with, the 2 vape shop owners I regularly see here in Austin, TX said the same thing, Texans don't have nothing to worry about, but I'm sure others everywhere else do and have already been affected, it solely depends on your state, county, or city ordinances. Indiana from what I understand has taken a big huge blow in it's entire state and also the city of Philadelphia with their 40% tax on products.

I tried to buy one single mod from an online vape shop located in Texas. To do so they required a photo copy of my ID and would not sell it unless I also gave them the last four digits of my SSN.
Said it was state law. I can back this up with emails.

Fuck that.

Of course. 18 and over. You have to fill in your date of birth entering an online site, even in other states, right? Right. If you're not, it won't let u in, as well as purchase. So, yeah.

EDIT, oops, just read your SSN. Fuck that. Don't give it to them. Never heard of such bullshit. Apologize.

Nope. Just click a box to get on the website stating you are of age. A few ask to put in your date of birth to enter, but it is not verifiable.

I buy exclusively (a very frequently) online and have never had to give SSN or ID, or date of birth, of any kind ever, period.

Never ever heard of this happen in Texas. I'd do the same as you, not even fuck with them. SSN isn't needed.

I live in Austin, Texas, home of the Hex Ohm box mods, even shopped at Craving Vapor and purchased one there. NEVER HAVE I NEEDED A SSN to purchase. EVER. They carded me, but never SSN. So, yeah, F that company. I feel so bad, I misunderstood, it's late.

it is part of the new FDA regs. Not implemented correctly in all ways, but carding under age 26 or 27 is and so is photo I'd. Not sure exact date it goes into effect. Contact your federal representatives (Congress and Senate) handwritten or voice calls best or use a font that looks hand written. don't use a form letter/email.
