I have a noisy cricket series box on the way and I'm looking for an RDA That's safe for use with hybrid top caps. I was looking at the indestructible but I would prefer adjustable airflow. Must be a 22 millimeter RDA. Any suggestions?

Properly used AND maintained... ALL RDA should be safe to use. Heck all atomisers. Make sure you don't have leaks and that your pin sticks out enough.... you'll be ok.

DS88. I orderd my FDV upgrade kit off ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/331908783913 ..... ( tcgf-electronics (1340 ) 100% Positive feedback, 122 sold. The kit is suposed to arive 08/09, will give update on Qualty and feel after i spend a day or two with it.
Thanks HD. My Velocity V1 clone's pin protrudes some but with a little over tightening and a bit of battery dent i could see a big problem. I'm not one of those guy preaching hybrids are unsafe... Though i do understand how bad it looks when noobs don't take the time to understand what they have and burn a hole in their britches. Anybody who comes across this thread looking to be safe with a hybrid can find all the info they need with google, on the forums and youtube. Please make sure to understand the difference in building for variable v/w, parallel and series mods. Once you understand building for your Unregulated device check out http://www.steam-engine.org and look under the Ohms law tab. For top performance and safety you have to be smarter than what you're working with.

not all atomizerd are safe to use on a noisy cricket unless you are referring to the upgrade kit. a lot of atomizers do not have protruding 510 pins. For example the griffins are very questionable and arent even realistically meant to be used on a noisy cricket.

That's were the PROPER USE AND MAINTENANCE, comes in..... If you can't set up the atomizer or mod for safe use, then you can't PROPERLY use the rig. I suppose there are some atties with pressed or fixed pins that cant be adjusted or modified for hybrid use. BUT, Most atties these days have screws for the 510 contact. that screw can be adjusted, modified or replaced, the maintenance, to achieve proper use.

Don't use a Noisy Cricket if you don't know how to adjust your gear. This is not a beginner mod.

Update on FDV upgrade kit from ebay.
The reason i purchased the kit was for the safer 510 connection and on that aspect it's worked perfect with all my RDAs. Treads are not the smoothest but work fine. The tube was compatible with the hybrid top cap and button off the NC. I actually prefer the NC button. The FDV button at times did not make contact when pressed in the center. The NC button i've had no problems with.
FDV kit from ebay seller (link in earlier post) came fast, was shipped in bubble envelope (would have preferred box) with all parts.

Conclusion::IMO:: If you want the safer 510 cap it's ok - good deal at around 17.00 with shipping.
NC($13) + FDV kit($17) for around 30 bucks including shipping. Not much to brake on this set up.

Please do your homework before offering advice!

Not all RDA'S have a 510 pin that is safe on hybrid style connections.

alot of atties don't have adjustable 510 pins....and modifying stuff you have to know what your doing.not something I'd recommened to a newbie.

Plus just because you can loosen the 510 doesn't mean it's safe either. One could potentially screw on the Addy and once touches the battery screw back in then BOOM, hard short.

Sorry but Honda's comments are incredibly irresponsible and dangerous.

Love hybrids. It is a common misconception that every screw type 510 is adjustable. Most of them are there to hold positive post in place. If you unscrew your 510 most of the times positive post/terminal will become loose and pop out when you screw down the atty. No fucking good.

Your are right Rocco also.... how this..
It is a bad idea to use an atty with a flush or depressed 510 pin or loose pin. in all mods, it's just more dangerous in a hybrid or mech...... the potential for 510 shorts are the same in all mods.
