The q class looks like a great mod but only 22mm attys look good on it due to the silver plate were the atty mounts to is only 22mm. Just a heads up if you use a lot of 24 or 25mm attys.

Lots of good options have been suggested!

I just wanted to add that you might be able to 'commission' a mod from someone using something like the DNA200/250, SX450, OKTL20, etc. Or, of course, you could do it yourself too.

If you are looking to outlay cash, that'd probably be a good way to do it. Hell, you could make it out of solid gold, add in a small screen and HDD to watch media, or even marry it to a raspberry pi for a computer that vapes! Battery life probably wouldn't be great, but, whatever.

Point is, you might get closer to getting exactly what you want than a mass manufactured device could.

Biggamz, thanks for the info. And boys (some ladies?) I think we have a winner here!

That M17 is nice, but I don't need to double my price on nice.

Think it's gotta be that SX mini Q. That is the top of the line, doesn't seem to be much better.

So, i think I am gonna get one of those, and in the meantime, scour the trading sites and still try to trackdown one of those efusion gold, although i guess if i like that color that darn much I can just get a snowwolf in that color.

Well, thanks for all the input. Of course after i get those, I will be bored again. Then I probably just have to switch hobbies.

Maybe I can move to exercising?

Yeah, I doubt it to....

Tuluum, I will admit, that sounds awesome!

The problem? I probably understood about half of what you said! haha

BTW nevweesy, can you explain a bit more on this?

I guess i never even looked at the mm on atty's before.

This will take anything, right? Are you just saying something about the look with certain ones?

So, u know the atty's i use (vapo, crown, tobeco, herkles), what are they?

I know it is a pretty slim mod, so I imagine you are saying a larger tank might look funny?

hey, on breasy, that Q is pretty cheap right now btw, for $139, FYI. Seems like a pretty good time to buy.

+1 for any SXmini or any DNA200 or DNA75 mod I'm a big fanboy of both.

:giggle:

Wellll, maybe the do it yourself part wouldn't be feasible without a good amount of research..

But, the overall idea was to get a custom mod. You can use the same internal stuff that's in the commercial mods, like the SXminis, but add features/design/materials that you might like better.

Lots of people have been bitten by the same bug as yourself, and I have yet to see the "perfect" equipment. But, I think someone can get much closer to perfect if they are able to dictate every aspect of the mod. I dont think many people don't go this route though, in vaping or anything else.

Personally, I bought a few mods of different types to get an idea of my preferences and the next ones will all be designs and constructions of my own making. Unlike myself, there are others that offer such services to others. Just wanted to make sure that that option was known. :)

Frankly though, in any scenario, it is unlikely to be the last mod you buy! :bliss:

Yeah, perhaps I should have gave the Therion more consideration? I do love the looks of it, classy. Easy price tag on it too.

Tuluum. Yeah, I am just one of those guys that goes overboard in a new hobby. I will probably get down to the 2-3 mods I REALLY want, hang onto those and interchange them up every so often.

Then probably just focus more on trying out every juice known to man, and keeping adding new tanks every know and again.

The tanks you mentioned are 22mm in diameter. Larger diameter tanks will have over-hang on certain mods.
If money is not an issue, consider the Dicodes Danibox or Extreme v2. www.dicodes-mods.com

Now the germans have entered the ring. So now it's between Acura and BMW? haha.

No, that Q will be hard to beat, especially since I can get it at $130.

That Dani (german) box looks pretty sweet tho, however, it does only get up to 60W and uses only 1 battery.

I'm surprised you would prefer a PFM chip (Q) to a DC-DC chip (DNA200). One other thing if you get the Q under Yihi's suggested price ($200) they won't honor the 6 month warranty.

Edit This will give you an idea of what I'm talking about. From what I read Yihi's new (not yet released) G+ is supposedly going to be switching over to DC-DC but the earlier chips aren't.

Cheers,
Steve

Wings fan, I really don't prefer anything. I am very new to vaping, and will admit i don't know much about about. As for the DNA, I wanted something that I didn't have to wait to recharge, so I would have to go with the Efusion, for some reason, just not crazy about that mod. Maybe i need to look at it again, I dunno. Would LOVE to get away from the batteries, but i don't think i can. Heck, i always have to have one set charging while i use the there. I guess i could just use another mod while one recharges tho, but that is sort of dumb too. Wish there were more options utilizing both in the DNA mods.

As for my lack on knowledge in vaping world, my quick background is I basically started with a couple ecigs, then came here actually, and was suggested a cuboid and crown setup. Was really weird too, at first, I didn't like it at all. Stuck with the ecigs, and tried to sell the cuboid on here, can probably find the thread!

Not sure, bug gave it another try. HOOKED. Ended up getting another tank on my local vapor store, probably because I was going in there so often buying juice!

Next came the wrecker. I dunno, now it's more than vaping, it has become a bit of a hobby. I am the type of guy tho, WHEN i jump into something, I want the best and usually won't stop until i get it.

Sort of like going to an NFL game. I take the philosophy of if I am going to spend the time and money on it anyways, I am gonna do it right and buy the seats 10 rows up and on the 50 yard line!

So back to the topic, I don't really think about the actual technology, I have YOU awesome folks to do that for me! I just know I was something friggin' awesome! It's been cool conversing with you folks about what exactly that is! I take your posts very seriously because I know you are the ones in the "know"

Found out it certainly wasn't the guys at the local vape shop.

Just for fun tho, and we will see how good it is, I think I am gonna pick up the Sigelei 100W something soon tho, cause it's only $40 and I love that gold box. See if it can take over my 1 or 2 spot right now. That's kinda cool to do to, let my mods compete. Right now the G1 has taken over the Cuboid in that 1 position, although I am using the Cuboid as we speak, and being reminded that I may have put it to pasture a bit too soon.

Thanks again all, great conversation and getting to know you folks a bit, and all your information and suggestions have been very much appreciated!

These are some DNA200 mods I have that are dual 18650. They are Hcigar VT133's. When a DNA200 chip uses 2 batteries in series they are capped at 133 watts. There are also some DNA200 that use three 18650's in series, like the Triade from Lost Vape. I'm just throwing a few things out there for you to think about. Good luck with whatever you decide and if you have any questions there are a lot of helpful people here.

Five of a Kind! (These are all VT133's with different color battery covers)

Edit Vapor Shark also makes a couple of dual 18650 DNA200 mods (133 watts). The Vapor Flask133 and the Vapor Shark 133. Those are regarded highly.

Update: You guys never mentioned the Snow Wolf. DNA technology, used batteries, supposedly a solid unit, even in my GOLD....

Hmmmm....

I will admit, some of these modes, even the high end ones, can seem "plastic like" almost, even that SX seemed that way.

That is one thing i like about my G1, that thing doesn't feel cheap at all. Sounds like the Snow Wolf would be the same category.

Gonna go hit up some utube reviews now on it. The RIP Trippers guy gives me a headache. lol. Put the over the top excited stuff to rest... ha

Btw, whatever site that said the SW was a DNA mod, was WRONG. It is not.

So, the search continues....

At some point I'll just jump in, go with one these, and we will see how it compares. Thx again folks.

You know Steve, they would work a lot better if you put some juice in those tanks...Curious about your opinion of the Lavabox M DNA 75. Let us know what you think when you get it. Thanks. Chris L.

Look we can debate ad nauseum. The two best chips are DNA and Yihi and this is followed by Joytech. They say the Yihi pulses but when using it is quite unlikely that you will feel any pulse at all. The new Yihi chip will not pulse and will go up to 200 watts which you should never do with two batteries anyway. About 130 watts is all you should ever need. So either a DNA device or a good Yihi device and you are set.

Yup. Someone recommended the Boss 3000, as that is about as good as it gets and is custom.

Maybe we should turn the conversation a bit. Always thinking box mods. I see a lot of high end stuff is that cylinder shaped stuff. Should these be considered? Never hear much about them really.

Provape Provari P3, Procyon, Dicodes V2 extreme, are some of the finest personal vaporizers on the planet. Due to the restriction of 1 18650 battery, maximum wattage is 60w or less. Dual and triple 18650/LiPo battery mods offer a lot more flexability with 100w +, TC capability, etc..

I can vouch for the prorape tubes, I use a prcoyon-50w tube, the voltage and amp limit is a bit extreme for most of my vape style, also I normally vape tc. However, a kf5 with a single Clapton on that Procyon is a wonderful vape.
