So, after hubby Chuck secretly takes inventory of what I've received that needs to go into 64oz Growners, 32 oz, 120ml, 60ml and 30ml bottles he actually 'suggested' (and he never does that) that I get my own freezer. Why? Because he loves to eat and there would be NO room for food in the 2 refrigerators we have.

W00t! And, he suggested I keep it in HIS garage! I heard that not keeping a freezer in a neutral environment isn't good for the freezer, but with the size I'll need, there isn't a choice. See my photos in another thread in this forum. Insanity is what it's called. Anyway, I believe he may have a hidden agenda but that's okay.

So, I'm shopping at Lowes.com. I heard bad things about Walmart delivery and especially Amazon delivery. Lowe's is less than 2 miles from here. How bad can it be?

So, Mama gets a new freezer. I need to store my nic asap. It's been sitting on the dining room table for a week, in the dark in a temperature controlled room. Wanna get it frozen!

Anyone else have their own freezer for base?

Some models will specifically state for indoor use only, otherwise you should be okay.

Yeah, I saw that. With us in AZ, that garage can really heat up. Our Arizona Room (enclosed patio - no AC) warms up as well. I think I'll be looking at $7-800 for a large one that will work in this climate at Lowe's.

That's awesome! The one I last looked at was 21.7cf. Only has a light on the lid. Hubby will cut wooden shelves so I can stack and I'll cover everything in brown towels to insure no light. A vertical one would be nice, although those 64oz growlers I bought will be pretty heavy. Will have to shop some more. Lowe's is just up the street for delivery. I saw horror stories about Amazon and Walmart deliveries.

Oh. So I'm collecting concentrates. Lots of fruit, pies and vanilla. Some others I'm sure. Freezer or frig...or a drawer since it's food additive?

There will be a LOT of freezing. I have SO much juice as it is now, what I make now I won't get to for over a year! I'll be converting a LOT of recipes to .pdf and backing them up on a large USB drive. I wonder if JuiceMeUp will install on a flash drive? I need something that will work away from the computer, no 4g, no wifi. Just separate. I'll of course use my laptop in the kitchen while mixing.

It might work. However, the read/write speed could be a problem. Another option would be to have JuiceMeUp installed on both computers, and safe all data to the flash drive.

I've been seriously considering a mini freezer dedicated to only nicotine. We have a good sized chest freezer, but
a 10+ year supply of nic is jeopardized every time someone rummages around in there.

If my arithmetic is correct, an "EdgeStar" 1.1 cu. ft freezer could hold 86 of my 120 ml bottles or 10.3 liters.

Can anyone testify as to the durability of these very inexpensive mini freezers?

I wonder if it needs any of MS shared files. Will have to try though. And, from my Bugging Out/In thread, I want to make sure I have it handy while bugged in. Getting a solar powered generator. Yeah, expensive. Bugging out is a different story. I've created a great USB and solar system for charging & juice transportation. I'll hit that thread soon.

You get what you pay for. It may hold up for 2 months or so - you never know. Sounds good for keeping just your nic in it. It will be interesting to hear of other experiences.

I found a bare bones one for 33% off at Lowe's just now. Goes to -20 degrees but isn't frost free. It's like I'll be opening it all the time. Low light level from top only, 19" x 25" interior shelves. Inside should hold a boatload of my 64oz growlers. I can use the door for the smaller bottles, even the 30ml. I just posted a question at Lowe's to see if the bottom deck flat surface can be used as a shelf. Frigidaire should respond quickly I hope. I need to get my nic bottled and cold! Same with the pg/vg. As small and as the cute looking those tiny gallon bottles of Flash are, they're plastic. Cute lil' things. Oh, and my gallons and gallons of ejuice and concentrates. Yikes!

Hey Kent. For the minis, I'd actually go look at them. They can be pretty darn small in there. Haven't used one myself, but saw one my brother had in his garage.
