Good morning SaddleThank you for the thought. I was told my computer was to old to fix. It is 7 years old so I don't know if it to old or not to fix. I'm computer challenged anyway and the new computers have windows 10 in them I will be lost

. Even though nearly every app, program, or email account isn't completely safe - hotmail, tied with your fake name, your VPN (mine once showed my IP coming out of Oslo, Norway
) and Bing turned off, is one of the safest free email providers out there. Especially with Internet Exploder disabled, and Microsoft Edge uninstalled.
Hi Pete my friend mine's a mess so old it's on it's last legsGood evening JimiGood to see ya. I know what you mean by the computer messing up.

HiYa @LOveWerks and Liz my friends I really wish I knew what all that meant but I am pretty much computer illiterate. How have you two been? Good I hopeWinblows 10 is merely Win 8.1 with a classic start screen, and plenty of swiss cheese holes in the Microsoft cloud.
#1: Disable Internet Exploder, delete Microsoft Edge, and turn off Cortana.
#2: Partition your drive, then install Mint or Ubuntu (Linux-based operating systems). Install their versions of word processor/spreadsheet programs ("applications" for Mac, Android and Linux people) - they are in your drive, not the cloud. Protect your privacy.
#3: Turn off location and GPS, get a Virtual Private Network through your IP, or via antivirus. Smartphones, too. In Winblows 10, anything that has to do with sharing, or assigning a search engine via Cortana, or the Start menu - turn it off, disable it, ad infinitum. Install Waterfox and Firefox; then, install Ghostery, WOT (Web Of Trust) and for really unsafe places (like most social/gaming network sites), install NoScript on both browsers (Firefox = 32-bit; Waterfox = 64-bit). When in Facebook, allow only akamai.net to run scripts. With Ghostery running backup, imagine the cleanest, nearly ad-free UI from Facebook ever seen. BEWARE OF ADOBE FLASH, AND ORACLE'S JAVA (unless you have developer versions, where you have control). Google Chrome (browser), and search engine? Nuh-uh. Since they changed their Terms of Use in 2012-13, they aren't any better than AOL (OMG!) and Yahoo! - although, DuckDuckGo - a non-tracking search engine - is, interestingly enough, in partnership with Yahoo!...
4: When it becomes time to enter a name into your brand-new Winblows 10 to register with Microsoft, make it a nome dè plume... i.e., Harry Truman, or Jack Kennedy.
@pete67, this post is dedicated to you, and hopefully - some of this information (or, misinformation, if you work for third-party deeps that create trapdoors in banking, social/online gaming, or - Heaven forbid - investment websites that are supposed to be encrypted) may be helpful.
Oh, and another tip from LW & Liz:
Put electrical tape on your laptop camera, and disconnect your USB camera when you're online - unless, you're communicating via video with family on an ENCRYPTED connection (https, vs. http at the beginning of the video app's URL).
Freedom? Not today.

It was posted on Facebook. I reported it for all the good that will do. I can message you the name of the person who posted it if you want.Skully, can I have a link to the thread where this was posted or was it posted on FB?
It was terrible. I was literally crying. Heartbreaking. But things like that make me appreciate my furbabies a little bit more. They have a good life and I am proud to say that.No , I don't need it, if it was posted here , I would be able to remove it, as it is a rule violation on the forum. That is so damned sad![]()
It's a sad SAD world we live in today. Cruelty to animals equates to even greater cruelty to fellow man. I fear for the future of our children. And makes me wonder where humanity has gone. I could go on & on , on the subject, what you described is pure evil
Good mornin SkullyMorning boss and Celt. How you guys this morning?

I have been up since 2:30am. Bad nightmare last night. Yesterday some asshole posted on facebook about how terrible Islamic citizens are to dogs...they consider them dirty and unclean. Then they posted a video of those people running over the hind end of dogs as they screamed in pain. I was super PISSED OFF It popped up on my news feed and before I realized what it was it was too late. Some things you cannot unsee. I was heartbroken for those poor dogs. Yes, I am a bleeding heart and super sensitive...but I do t want to be any other way. I know things like that happen every day but that doesn't mean I want to see it. One less friend on Facebook now.

Sorry you had to see that. I love the fur babies as well. They use to dump dogs and puppies on or country road until I told the law that if I catch them doing it I would shot them. Now they don't do it here any more.It was terrible. I was literally crying. Heartbreaking. But things like that make me appreciate my furbabies a little bit more. They have a good life and I am proud to say that.
