KBox mini can't hang

After vaping point five ohm doge rda for 20 min Box says too hot. And that's at 40w. My mods can't hang with the rda at the ohms I built..... Chi you megan and smaller chi you clone. Maybe my batteries are done for?

The kbox temperature cut-out probably has nothing to do with the batteries. Either the mod is malfunctioning, or the atty really is just getting too hot. Sounds to me like a malfunction. A .5 at 40W shouldn't get nearly hot enough to trip the temperature sensor.

I mean, I guess that could be the batteries, too. If they are getting THAT hot under that load, there's a serious problem and chances are good that they'll vent if you use them. How hot do the batteries feel when it gives that message? Hell, how hot do your mods feel?

Or better yet, what batteries exactly are you using?

And what you mean your mech mods "can't hang" with that build? Just not hitting well? The doge is spacious/wide-open and you've got a .5 in there... ...that might be part of the problem. That atty's made for clouds... ...big, high-powered builds.

Used the rda on the KBox mini with purple 18650, also have some samsung 25rs. Rda is brass. So it retains hest. Box is stainless. So u can imagine the heat dis is slim to none. Bad setup.
I need heatsink between or a RDA that is not all brass that gets hot after 5 hits.

Used the rda on the KBox mini with purple 18650, also have some samsung 25rs. Rda is brass. So it retains hest. Box is stainless. So u can imagine the heat dis is slim to none. Bad setup.
I need heatsink between or a RDA that is not all brass that gets hot after 5 hits.

Dump the purple 18650, use the Samsung instead!

shouldn't be any issue with your set up. I've never heard anyone use a heatsink between the atty and the mod

Yeah first time using an rda.
Was prepared for issues. All I have used today is the rda and my own vg blend. Working good. But after a while the rda gets hot. Too hot to use lips on. Wish it had some sort of a plastic or glass tip to keep away from the hot brass lol. I want to find another rda this time with a better coil space area and bottom air flow and something to stop leaks! As with my rda I have to keep the whole thing tilted when vaping or hot oil spills from the single air hole on the side.

All RDAs get hot if you build hot. Some dissipate it better then others. What RDA are you using? I know u said doge but which version. And whats yoir build? Like when I use my aeronaut on a hot build it'll get too hot for my lips cause it's one solid metal piece for the top cap. On my tsunami 24 the cap will get hot but not the drip tip cause it's a screw on derlin drip tip.

Swapped my copper internals for SS.
I love dripping so much cooler then using a tank. The tank is good for on the go! My pre-built coils will be here tmrw so I'm going to change this to a dual coil, and try to stay at the ohms Im at. I am getting a clouds so I'm happy! Man I wish there was a way to add some sort of chemical drip to get colored clouds Haha talk about trippy.

This setup with the box vaping at 30w this thong eats batteries! I need to find a dual 18650 box, at a reasonable price of course.

Everything looks good. The wire looks thick. What kind? Kenthal 24 Guage? If u don't want it to get hot try thinner wire or an rda with a derlin drip tip.

26 shouldn't get too hot. As far as 75 goes if u look around for sales. Usually from ecig.com the hohm wrecker g2 and hcigar vt133 are two of the best mods out there. I got My g2 for 73 bucks and 2 VT 133s for 170 total. Totally worth every penny

The G2 will do 171 watts with the latest firmware, the VT133 only does 133 watts but really not sure what you need 200 watts for.
