Halo Tribeca Clone - FAIL

Hello guys, i've tried to clone tribeca and failed, so here's what happened:

The color is not yellow as in the original, smell is OK, the inhale taste is pretty ok, but exhale feels very harsh and dry ( Graham Cracker i think ).... Is there a way to fix that?

The recipe i've used on Dripperbase ( 100VG ):


Acetyl Pyrazine - 1.5%
Ethyl Maltol - 3%
Graham Cracker - 2%
RY4 Double - 15%

It's been steeped for like a week including few hot baths.. The taste and smells didn't changed since the mix.

I have some Sweetener, maybe that would help ?


Edit: Tried to do another test with Pyrazine 1drop per 5ml just this time without Cracker.. Same deal.

TFA sweetener 3%
TFA graham cracker clear 2.5%
AP 2%

There is this thread on that flavor .. haven't tried it myself tho, can't really use AP at anything over .5 unless I have dip to go with the fritos ;p

You will never duplicate that flavor, Halo uses flavorings that only a chemist can buy, and knows about which are named by the chemical compound not the flavor. I go back in time with Halo as friends when they first started out in business, and have seen the ingredients they use in that recipe but never copied them down.

Tribeca never really was a hit for me way back when I was vaping Halo liquids. I didn't like the graham cracker. RocketPuppy's RY4 however is a staple for me now. Check it out, it may hit the spot for you. http://vapingunderground.com/threads/rocketpuppys-ry4.11144/

Edit to add: when she mentions The Perfumer's Apprentice translate that to TFA (The Flavor Apprentice) or ECX's Signature line.

Love Tribeca, it is one of my favorites on that rare occasion I can get out to visit the local b&m I always grab a bottle. Shouldn't the recipe have some sort of tobacco flavor though or is it the Acetyl that gives it the slight tobacco flavor?

RY4 is a sweet tobacco flavor.
