Might also ask members if they haven't used theirs and are willing to part with them.

You could also try messaging Lost Vape and see if they will sell them separately or point you in the direction of someone who does.

Cheers,
Steve

Yes, strange that wasn't the first thing I thought of. ;) Oh well, sent them an e-mail. I'll post their answer if they reply. Thanks.

As I'm here and have he experts here I'll take the opportunity to ask if it's true that I'll will blow a fuse on the board if I happen to put the 18650's in the wrong way? No reverse battery protection at all, is that true? If so, it sounds really scary..

I'm not sure whether Lost Vape is using a daughter board to provide reverse battery protection as Evolv suggests companies do when making a DNA200 mod that uses 18650's. I know Hcigar is using one in the VT133 (2 x 18650 DNA200). If you are using a 3s Lipo pack (the way the board was originally intended to be used), the daughter board is unnecessary because there is only one way to plug in the pack. Wismec/Joyetech chose to go in a cheaper route with the DNA200 Reuleaux. They used rings around the positive connection (mechanical protection) to prevent the fuse blowing if the batteries are inserted incorrectly. Unfortunately they tend to rip your battery covers when removing the batteries and for some batteries make the connection unstable.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit Since I've never seen mention of reverse battery protection, combined with the fact it can also be used with a 3s Lipo. My guess is they aren't using the daughter board. I don't have the mod so I can't open it up to look. That's just my guess.

Yes, I know about the wismec "protection" as I've one, never ripped my battery covers though. Well they probably don't have any protection at all then on the efusion, maybe I should stick to the lipo pack..even though a big reason for me getting it was the 133/18650 option.

I'm not saying you have to do that. Just make sure you insert the batteries observing the correct polarity. I have a DX200 that is sold with the 3s Lipo. At a later date they came out with a 2 x 18650 battery compartment. It doesn't have the daughter board or the mechanical protection. I use to use it in the 2 x 18650 configuration all the time without any issues. I'm just extra careful when inserting new batteries to observe proper polarity (It's marked on the sled) since I know I'll be replacing the fuse if I don't.

Cheers,
Steve

Yes, maybe I shouldn't worry. I've put in batteries in the wrong direction before on protected mods. Guess I just have to be more careful. But I think it's a really big flaw on a device like this that it doesn't have reverse battery protection. I don't blame evolve of course but lost vape. Thanks for all help :)

I just want to be clear - I don't know for a fact they (Lost Vape) aren't using a daughter board. Until I was sure one way or the other I would just be extra vigilant when inserting the 18650's. Like they say an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure (or a pack of spare fuses :D)

Cheers,
Steve

I will stick my neck out and say they do not have a daughter board. I still believe that's why the one member in this thread had that issue with it not turning on and the manual clearly states if you reverse the polarity it will not work.

Yeah man. It's just ok. I shoulda known better getting something under a hundred watts for me, but it's ok. Looks awesome. Performs well. I've only used 18650's so battery life isn't much. It gets warm fast since I mostly chain vape on a rda. Built well.

So
Those yellow sheets that came with my duo are the fucking 3m tape needed for my carbon fiber panels to stick
All this time I was thinking how the fuck do I install those carbon fiber?!
Sure enough today while re building my stuff I accidentally scratch the yellow panel it came off very easy, I was like wtf is this stick thing... Shit, it was the 3m I was asking for..

I'm just using what came with mine but will make some out of wood veneer down the road. If any of you know anyone that does woodworking as a hobbie they should be able to hook you up with a set for a couple bucks.
I plan on making a block the size I need then double sided tape the vaneer to it and use the router to trim it... Quick fast and easy.

How's it holding up?

It keeps up real good, have used it for about a month now with juice pouring over it and more... It looks like new and doesn't come off at all.
Highly recommended.

Hey guys, I am new to this but I just got my Efusion today. What is the best way to get this carbon fiber skin off?
I don't think you're supposed to take it off? I just put the skin over the carbon fiber.

Yes, you do take it off. I used a small flathead screwdriver, like jewelers size, and lifted a corner and worked my way up leaving the screwdriver under the carbon fiber pushing along.

I used an Xacto knife and took my time. Once you get enough of it off you can just pull it up. I did use the back of the blade not the sharp side. My adhesive stayed intact so I can reuse them. I just stuck them on a piece of paper that had stickers on it prior.

Mine came with carbon fiber look alike I wouldn't exactly call it carbon fiber.

I know it had to come off because I've read that if you try and lay it over the carbon fiber that you would have a little lip that would be raised up. Thanks for all of the input guys. Very much appreciated!

Success. Hair dryer for a few seconds and it came off perfectly. All I did was stick the carbon fiber on the back of the wood panels and it actually is bad ass because it is keeping the wood from bowing on the box...
