So my fairly new vaping device, kangertech kbox mini has taken a couple of spills..once dropped with no damage and the second time just fell ~ 1 foot while squatting down to put my lunch in the fridge.
The whole unit fell out of my inner coat pocket and dropped ~ 1 foot..just put it back in my pocket no visible damage no big deal.
A couple of hours later I go to use it and nothing..no power...eeek!..oh gosh..! emergency!..what`s wrong!?!

Removed battery cover to find that the battery was loose and the upper contact/post was stuck or jammed into the upper housing.
No time to fool with it, darn busy work day..was offered a smoke...hmm..NO WAY but thanks! Gotta go!

Just used my knife to gently pry the contact post away from the side of the housing and the post popped back out..oh..thank goodness..
Unit works well just like new, but was a little cautious when chraging the battery (did not charge while sleeping) because it had a ever so slight dent on the neg. end of it.

Just a FYI post in case anyone else has a similar experience.

I have seen this mentioned a few times on the Internets. Seems to be a common issue :(

You can drop it twenty times and it'll be fine. But if it happens to hit the ground at just the wrong way...you're out of luck. I'm glad you were able to repair yours.

ive dropped mine a few times because I forgot it was plugged in. battery went flying!! still works fine. But im sure a 2 inch fall at some strange angle will alert the soviets to fire a nuke our way!!

yeah, like i said, dropped it a couple of times before, and this particular time seemed no big deal, put back in my pocet..
I just be sure to zip that pocket up now when I put it in there

I had this happen to me. Had it fixed at a vape shop. It voided the warranty but I know how to fix this problem in the future. It is a little tricky so be careful.

Remove the battery first.
There are two small screws that you need to slightly loosen in order to push around the - (neg) part that connects to the battery. There is a spring that will start working again if you poke at it enough. Once that pops back out you can screw it back together and the battery will fit again. If you take the screws out to far the buttons on the other side will fall into the case and it is hard to put that back together, so just look at the buttons on the other side when you are loosening the screws so you don't let those buttons fall in.

When you drop it and it lands on the mouth piece side, this might jam that again. Therefore, you may have to repair it again if that happens in the future. Otherwise, apart from this malfunction in the product, I think it is a pretty reliable vaporizer.

Cheers :D

The negative contact on my cloupor mini+ almost always ends up bent in to the point where the battery shakes... I just pry it back out and it's fine.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Kbox mini , Bret.
I probably would have taken the screws right out in order to check the battery post.. then had a real headache.
Loosen screws slightly, jiggle post till it pops back out, tighten screws back down.. check, and thanks !
