Not only is this company based in China. The Fucked nearly blew up in my face. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. I want to make everyone aware of this faulty company before someone gets hurt.. Or does from an explosion

Sad part is after uploading I found a thread with people having same issue.... they know about this problem they just don't care... that's what pisses me off about aspire. They ignore emails too so not even gonna bother sending the 5th one... I posted the thread in the comment section of the video as I don't wanna post an off-site link but it's just the aspire forum so ...

Please be careful and I wanna get this video out to save as much Monet and or lives as I can even though I doubt someone will die it's not worth the risk with aspire. Use at own risk

Thank you

Damn! That is a scary video. I noticed that the only re-wrap our friend Mooch recommended was the Aspire 18650...

Damn, that is really fucked up.

Even if just one defective device such as this gets through QC it's one too many.

No reason to buy that crap when you can get authentic Samsung or LGs for $5-6 each from a reputable dealer.

I mainly use mechs and like my fingers and teeth, so no shitty batteries for me thanks.
I want to a vape store and told him what I wanted and price limit and he said aspire products are more affordable... But their plain out cheap , shit and dangerous... I realize my mistake. I'm here to stop others like me from trying to save a few bucks by choosing the Chinese company aspire. I sent them another email. I might also post this on the public aspire forumsince they're ignoring my emails

Some of their stuff seemed to test well but in the end AFAIK they are all ICR chemistry. There's a reason most manufacturers went safe chemistry on high drain cells.

i agree. fuck aspire. if they didn't want you to start a shitstorm at the very least they should have responded to your emails.

but they should have not only responded they should have immediately sent out a replacement and checked into the problem to make sure they all don't have they same problem as yours did.

That's some Bullshit. Thanks for the heads up.

I just really hope people don't get tricked like I did. Just because the package is nice doesn't mean the device is nice. Life lesson learned. Glad I didn't die , loose fingers or worse my face.

I hope this video gets out to a lot of people.

Yeah, this was pretty bad. I've read about more than just Aspire having mods/devices that auto-fired. I had a Kanger product that did the same, contacted the seller of the product, they let me return it. Eleaf has had more than one device with the same issue. the iStick 50w and I had an iStick 30w that started it. But, most of the gear we use is from China. Not all products are bad. It's good to get the word out, though.

This. No company can test every unit that comes off the line. Spot check lots/batches, yes, but not every piece. So, yeah, especially in this rapid fire, new device every few weeks, industry, you're bound to get some duds. Sucks if you get one, but this is why retailers in the industry need to uinderstand their own suppliers and market and not give customers a hard time when they're returning or exchanging defective units.

Had something similar happen to a vapeonly product, contacted them on Facebook and within 5 hours I had a express tracking number, not only did they send me a new battery they sent me a whole new kit which I got in I think 4 days maybe 5... Best part is I won it in a contest lols...

Mine didn't auto fire per se but it had a hair trigger and could auto fire easily in my pocket...

They should have sent a replacement immediately, that is negligence!!! if there's no response or they don't send you a replacement I'm going to bombard their social media....

Just got the reply today apologizing about not responding they said they looked up the email and never saw past emails maybe it never sent.. Kind of suspicious once the video was realised then they responded... Lmao....

Anyways they asked bunch of questions and said they'll fix it... Will they I doubt it... I'm sure it's cheap China supplies.

The offered a whole new kit tho including another tank.. At the price of 8-20 day shipping and removal of the video... Thoughts on what I should do, I feel as if people need to be warned .. But I would also like a replacement... It's hard to pick a side .. :/

Thoughts guys?

Really it's up to you, maybe tell them you'll take it down once you receive a working product? May get some free express shipping or potentially lose the deal altogether so not sure what to say to you >.<

Saving someone from having a batt explode is pretty important... It's all up to you..

Take the video down and get your replacement. If it doesn't work out you can always put it back up.

Yes that's exactly what I told myself

My morals also tell me people's life's may be at risk if I take it down... It's a hard decision I really don't know which side to pick

My morals or what I want :(

That's a personal decision. Your morals are exactly that, yours. I think you're jumping to few conclusions here. You're assuming each and every mod they produce performs the same as yours. I doubt that's the case here. In the end its your money and your conscience.

No I def did not mean all their products are broken shit. Of course people make mistakes so do machines. I'm just saying that the chance of someone else getting an auto fire mod in few years is high and I want that person to know what to do under those circumstances. And me doing that ruins business through aspire. And basically their saying man let us know next time. No need to ruin business remove the vid and we will send a functioning one...

But I'm scared that someone else will have an issue kept using it and it over heat , kill the coil or worse...
Ug idk I'm gonna wait for more replies for going to a decision ...

The likelihood of every single one of these devices being faulty is possibly lower than you think. Besides that, worldwide, I'm sure that more than one or 2 of them have been sold, even today, for that matter.

You wanted them to acknowledge your issue, they have. You either want it replaced, or you don't. They're at least aware that there's an issue to look into.

Unfortunately, this kind of thing happens with vape gear. Just to mention, again,TONS of people purchased the Eleaf iStick 50w. Many of those people did have issues with the auto fire problem, and many did not. They still sold a shit ton of them, and still do. People still buy Eleaf products, Toyota products, Ford products, etc.. People will continue to purchase Aspire products.

They acknowledged the problem and are willing to make it right. Why would you leave up a video accusing them of not doing anything about a potentially innocent defect when they're doing something?

Because the post of the same issue which was already reported was before my purchase....

Months we're talking if I owned aspire I would say that too and not pay the extra whatever to fix all the old ones

Quite frankly, that's really none of your business. They're offering to do the right thing. You got what you wanted. I'm sorry I just don't see the dilemma here.

I'm just curious if people are actually reading the first post, or even watching the video.
Indeed Huck...I was wondering the same thing...the piece of shit is auto-firing, either the other posters don't know what that means or they need some schooling.

I really don't know anything about the mod, so I searched it out. What I read about it said it's an internal battery. If that's the case, you can't just slap another into it anyway. I mean, I'm all for reputable vendors, GOOD batteries, etc... but even those won't help in this matter, lol.

What the hell does the battery have to do with the mod auto-firing?

NOTHING....:deadhorse:
The battery is the mod lol, I just can't magically swap them out

the dilemma is they aren't doing anything about it. Yeah I get a ecig... At the price of someone dying? Obviously the chance of that is super super low. But would you wanna risk your kid using what I have? Would you want me to let your 18 year old daughter use what I used for a day. Would you even wanna risk it. Clearly they stated their fixing the issue one to many times.....

That's the dilemma , they say one thing and do another . I get a free thing but I don't feel okay with a company doing that when it effects people's safety. I may not know you but if this shit exploded in your face morally I would be pissed and irritated because they told me it'll be fixed when clearly other people are experiencing it...

Are you talking to me? I know what's going on... Clearly the issue hasn't been addressed as many others have the same issue that's why I did it. It's a fire hazard, I wouldn't want someone driving down the road and all of a sudden their ecig is firing in their pocket while their on the highway etc.

If the mod is auto-firing, wouldn't you assume it's the switch or other components, NOT the battery?

I agree it's a piece of shit, but when you shake the mod and it fires it's not the battery in and of itself.

I know that? Everytime I saw battery I mean mod, just like at the vape store

Can you show me the 510 thread battery's . I clearly know that if let's say I ripped the battery apart somehow and changed the 18650 installed battery or whatever inside the problem would continue. I get its like a censor

i don't have to shake it I was trying to force it to do that usually I just have it in my pocket and walk around all of sudden I hear hissing and my leg burns. Threw the mod away... But for that day I had to twist the tank off when I wasn't using it because it would also turn off and on , it's own.
Sorry bro, I think you're being really dramatic.
of course, better safe then sorry. It's like if a hunter points a gun at you instead of holding it vertical. Of course you should be a little pissed and should be dramatic even tho you can trust he won't fire. It's dumb to ignore the fact it can still endanger someone's life. Like it just pisses me off.. In a sense..

It seems that you already know what is appropriate thing to do, just like it seems that you aren't first one experiencing this kind of malfunctioning bs.
Personally I would forget about replacement and, fuck em. Why? Because they are ignorant, and because I have a kid. I don't give a fuck about protecting a business of a company that puts their profits before safety of the consumer.
