First off, let me say I love the tank. works amazing. no complaints. best on the market as a prebuilt coil tank IMO.
The thing is, with that said, I'm pretty sure they are only using half the coils stated in the description
The TF-T8 coil says patented octouple coil. as in 8 coils. We all seen pics that it has 4 air holes with coils in them. The assumption would be that each hole had 2 coils, either seperate (one on top on on bottom) or wrapped parallel with each other. After finishing off my coil yesterday (lasted 2 weeks) i decided to open it up. Upon 1st inspection i could only count 8 leads. 4 negative 4 positive. Pulling it all apart, there was only 1 coil in each hole. 1 solid piece of wire each hole with 1 positive lead and 1 negative lead. unfortunately i couldn't get it out in 1 piece without the wire unwrapping so i couldn't measure the ID and amount of wraps to calculate out resistance, but it was definitely one solid piece each hole So where does the 8 coils come in. It's it "marketing math" maybe because each coil has double the wraps of what they consider a normal coil? (think paper towels and how a double roll = 2 rolls on the package) The wire looks kinda thick, maybe 24-26 gauge if i had to guess. I put in a Q4 coil now (4 coil) but after visually inspecting, it just looks like 2 coils wrapped parallel. I'll also pull this one apart when I'm done with it in 2 weeks for further inspection.
Any thoughts on this? anyone ever inspect them or does everyone take it at face value? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere before so I'm curious
