Seeing a vapor blow air

Was dropping kid off at school and got to a stop light on my way to work, and this kid has a big shiny box mod and big tank and give it a good suck and only a bit of vape come out, I take a little bit of a puff on my wrecker g2 and boreas only to fog up my truck and throw a cloud out side the window.

2 things come to mind, this fellow vaperer is vaping high PG which I think Is rare or they got shafted from one of the vape shops.

I went from 3 packs a day Marlborough Reds to vaping overnight 8 years ago using one of the first gen ego batteries and a cartridge and atomizer. That cartridge held 8 drops of juice. 36mg/ml juice. I had 0 withdrawals. The stuff made nowadays is mass overkill and the clouds do absolutely nothing in terms of helping quiting smoking.

I miss those days, when I could stealth vape anywhere. I vaped an entire 8 hour plain ride, vaped in movies, vaped everywhere and bothered no one. I just wanted my nic, and to be left alone. Vaping was the solution to that. I'm not even sure what vaping is now as my Facebook feed is full of "vape douche" pics and an overall hatred of the vaping community.

I'm a high PG vaper because I seem to have a sensitivity to higher VG. I don't care about clouds, I want to stay stopped from smoking and I follow flavor. I also vape above 1 ohm at lower watts.

Everyone finds their niche. Thankfully it's not a one way only thing, or I'd still be smoking.

I hear ya, on that when I started out it was stealth for me too. Sometimes still is, I just thought it was funny to see this big ass bling setup only to see very little vape production.

It is kind of funny. Like a tricked out 90s Tercel is hilarious. But you have to keep in mind that decks are replaceable, easily on some mods, and it's not inconceivable that, at other times, the same tank/mod combo makes the kid's basement look like fog machine filled hair metal concert.

You can still stealth vape with modern gear.
I suppose whether you just vape for yourself or blow big clouds to showoff depends on the kind of person you are.

Not if you're doing it at like 1ml/day it's not. Whatever keeps you from smoking. In public, I also tend to bring out less cloud substantial mods. They still produce (Pico/Melo, Topbox) pretty substantial vapor, but not huge hanging clouds. Things like my Avocado 24/RX2/3, I reserve for home use. For some, I suppose, the clouds are the ostentatious equivalent of brandishes a honkingly huge Breitling or similar multi-K watch. For me, I just like it and don't really care to "show off".

Funny though, on Saturday, I went to get bagels and there was a younger fellow banging away outside on a RX/RDA combo I didn't see clearly enough to identify. I took a hit off my Pico/Melo and he laughed and said, "dems not clouds dewd". To which my reply was, "And?" He just kind of looked at his feet. I told him I left the Avocado at home and he cheered up a little and responded, "Dewd!" Hipsters.

I don't like the throat hit from high PG liquids though. I came from dipping not smoking so never really needed the throat hit part

I vape 85% PG. I also use 30-75w box mods (which I vape at 10w), and nothing but RDAs. When I exhale, there is visible vapor, but it's thin, and it dissipates VERY quickly.

I used to be able to vape in my office using a 1300mah ego twist with a T2 top with 30/70 PG/VG at 18MG NIC.
Now with all the gear I have there isn't a single piece I can use to vape at work indoors with 30/70 PG/VG at 2.2MG NIC.
I still own the T2 but no longer have coils for it.
If I were to get coils, I wouldn't even notice I was taking a hit due to lack of flavor compared to all the gear I have gotten used to.
Sure wish I could go back to those days.
Especially this winter, on extremely hot days, or during rain.

I have that problem with Kayfuns, since I got accustomed to my Achilles RDAs. I can also use my Magmas, they still have some flavor to me, but of course they're a pain, leak like a sieve and can't be laid down or they don't just leak, tney DUMP. But the kayfuns I used to LOVE, no longer give me any flavor at all.

Well the lack of clouds may have helped you quit. The gear from back then was shit rolled in shit coated in shit. You needed the 36-48 mg then amd straight up PG.. NUMMY!! (sarcasm)

Glad you stopped sucking shit sticks minus flavor and clouds with pg.

Sure as hell did not work for me or several people I know.

I still use my SVD2/Tatroe Tank at work for MTL at 75/25, 1.5Ω, 8W. Hey, vape at my desk, win. Besides, MaddCatt's Plasma is PLENTY flavorful even in that setup.

I couldn't do the stealth vaping as a quitting means. I smoked pipe (pipe tobacco in a wood pipe) to get my nicotine and the lack of "clouds" off an ego style didn't give me the satisfaction. Trying again with a triton/pegasus gave me the sensation of having a drag off my pipe, that was the only way I actually made it through the quitting process. Props to the people who can stealth vape, I can't do it.

Despite it being fairly easy with my 85% Pg/10w setup, I don't find it very satisfying, to be honest. But when I was stuck in a godawful long line at Kohl's during last year's black Friday, I was mighty glad that a) my husband was with me, to hold my place in line, and b) there was a restroom where I could go in a stall and have a few stealthy puffs. But I don't really like holding my vapor in; it's an emergency means only.

I get what you're saying. Some people though, like me, enjoy being able to tinker and rebuild to their heart's content. The old days were great, but I'd rather have my RDA because it fits what I personally like. There ARE a lot of vape douches though.....

Making a cloud is EASY.. making that cloud taste good is not.

As I used to say in the day.... That, cloud you coughed out, is just wasted goodness.
