Night Y'all, keep it real
Well, shoot, most everybody's gone now, and I just woke up. Normally I don't sleep during the day, but I woke up at 12:30 am because of the electricity blipping madly off and on and off and on (it was light lightning inside the house), and microwaves and answering machines beeping continuously... it finally went out and stayed out, then came back on at 2:00 and JUST as I started to fall asleep, the phone rang. It was the power company wanting to know if our power was back on... I told them yes and thanked them for fixing whatever the problem was (I'm assuming it was a grounded line or whatever it's called when they short out) and then said to hell with it and hit the "ON" button on the coffeepot. So I've been up since just after midnight.
Rich cleaned up the breakfast mess for me earlier (he's so sweet) and told me to go take a nap on the couch, which I said I couldn't do, but I did get sideways and next thing I know, almost 3 hours are gone. I feel like one of Atcha's little zombies!
Need to go do evening chores in a few minutes, then dinner (thank god for leftovers and a microwave) and I'm thinking an early night for me. I just haven't been completely awake all day, it seems. Tomorrow should be a better day.

Ok, an actual vape question. Lannie, you might know this. So I'm messing with my RX200S. Just about have it figured out. Throw my Crius Plus on, atomizer short. Huh?? Try it on my Duo, VT75, even my Presa, no problem, back on the 200S, atomizer short. Throw the Merlin back on the 200S, all is right in the world. Is this a glitch or a feature?
Spoke to my daughter this evening. She's currently in an architecture program. shes in her fourth year (senior in her college). Her fifth year is spent working at a firm the school matches her with. It's a very top program (she is one wicked smart girl, makes me look like a drooling idiot and she is artistic to boot) and placement is with the top architecture firms around the world. She has choices from London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, as well as around the US. I fully expected her to pick London or Paris, but she told me her top choices are in NY. I'll be so pleased to have her around next year if it works out.
After that fifth year working, she returns to her architecture program for a sixth year they refer to as consolidation. At which point she will have her full archi degree an be able to go right to licensing exams rather than an internship with a firm before being eligible. There are only a few such programs, and she was thrilled back when she was accepted. She's done so well and I'm very proud of all she accomplished.
She also told me she plans to stay in her relationship with her boyfriend of 2 years now even after she moves back to NY. He is a really nice guy, bright, respectful, and a great fit for her. They both agree marriage is a way way off and they're not thinking that far, but if they stay together through the rest of her training and his graduate work (he's not an architecture person) you never know. She knows I'm pleased with that, and he knows I'll rip his balls off if he ever did anything to hurt her. He also knows I'm not kidding, so he's incredibly well behaved.

Me too!! It's driving me nuts that my so won't get my freezer over here from my sil's house. When I'd asked him to take a couple bottles over to the freezer, he put em in the car, forgot about em, then broke a bottle.

Happy Anniversary! I wish things were so rough for you darlin, but total respect to you for sticking it out and taking care of her. My son's dad married someone like that after we divorced. I know how hard it is to get someone committed. That sounds harsh, but sometimes it needs to happen, but it's so hard to do, at least down here. he didn't try it, til she called the police while he was at work saying she'd murdered her husband and he was laying dead in a pool of blood in the living room. At that point he figured it was time before that actually happened. She wasn't in good health and ended up dying not long after that though.
