I hadn't thought of Dramamine. Thanks Andria! Benadryl is a no go for me..it makes me jumpy. Reverse effect. I'll pick up some Dramamine today.
I'm not sure HOW to describe what benadryl does to me. Kinda jumpy, yeah, but foggy -- like being really really really tired and having 3 espressos back to back -- you're not awake, but damn if you can sit still.
It also gives me the next-day-fog, and dramamine really doesn't.But the cocoa made with warm milk is just as crucial -- if I have either dramamine OR the warm milk cocoa, I still can't sleep, but both together, and I'm usually down for the night.
Also -- I've heard that if you have trouble falling asleep, to get away from electronic devices (including TV? I dunno) for a couple hours before bed; the lit-up screen is anti-sleep. Especially a computer monitor which is plugged into the wall -- it's AC current, so it's actually blinking so fast you can't see it, but some parts of your brain perceive it. I do read from my tablet (kindle app) before bedtime, it's more calming than communicating on the forum, plus it's DC current rather than AC.

One other thing helps me sleep -- I keep a fan in my bedroom, on high; it drowns out the damn dogs barking, people talking loudly outdoors, *most* loud vehicles... and it gives a "drone" for your mind to concentrate on.

I think you can even find those that take 18650 batteries. Also, they come in a variety of shapes and sizes and colors, just like mods, so something for everyone. And there are glow in the dark models too.
