I was up most of the night sneezing. It was almost like having hiccups where no matter what you do it just won't stop. Tons of Benadryl (allergies?) got a few hours of sleep this morning, now still stuffy and clammy. Then again, it's 60 degrees out and very rainy where I am.

With all of us coming down with this at the same time, did we catch it from this forum? It's the one place we've all been to in common.:giggle:

OMG!!!! IT'S BEGUN!!!! ZOMBIES!!!!!! :zombie::zombie::zombie:

Do you have school-age kids? Or work with those who have school-age kids? There's the vector right there; we ALWAYS got sick, right after the beginning of school.

No kids around here. No ANYBODY around here. If this IS the flu, I caught a random wandering bug that was floating by. Wrong place, wrong time - inhaled when I should have exhaled. And all that. ;) Rich went shopping in town Wednesday, but it hasn't been long enough for a bug picked up there to even incubate yet, so I don't think that's it. It's a mystery.

Being absent from work for 3 days even with a doctors note equals termination where I work. I guess they want you to come in and share the love

She wasn't out of her mind drunk, I would never let her get like that, just wobbly legs so I carried her upstairs, well our house has three floors and our bedroom is on the top floor (for the best view of course), no way was I going to risk her falling down them
awwwwwww what a sweetie you are. Glad she wasn't too bad off

I have the grandson before I go to work. His regular babysitter has a sick child.
oh no......hope you can get some more sleep before work

I swear it feels like I have a fever. Which I hope not I hardly ever get sick but when I do it's a friggin' doosy.
mere.......lemme feel yur forehead :p

I'm gonna try to stay down today, as much as possible, anyway
Good...........geeze, hope you and everyone who is sick gets over it quickly

We have come back from the pub, what a laugh we had today.
so glad y'all had fun!

Viruses can "live" quite a long time on surfaces. They aren't really "alive" of course; science isn't really sure exactly WHAT they are, but they can stay viable for quite a long time, on surfaces.

But Lannie hardly ever goes anywhere. Maybe somehow Draco picked something up the other day when he went shopping and somehow it got deposited on something at home that you touched.

When my daughter started kindergarten we alternated being sick. She'd bring it home from school, be sick with it then pass it to me. This went on from September-December. The big problem with this was that I was pregnant with her brother and couldn't take anything. :(

No kids, and worked from home all of the past week. Only one I could have caught it from is my dog, and she seems fine.
That's what I was wondering too Eskie! One of my friends in a thread at ECF had the flu last week but I don't think I got this from her so it had to have came from here.

Gotta be this place. Probably this stupid 10th anniversary edition of Win 10.

OMG!!!! IT'S BEGUN!!!! ZOMBIES!!!!!! :zombie::zombie::zombie:

That was my thought, too. Widespread simultaneous outbreak multiple geographic locations...........this is all the Umbrella Corporation's fault!

On another note, my OBS Engine came in today. Set it up with dual 316L coils 0.5 ohm vaping a brand new butterscotch I threw together this morning at 450 F, and................great flavor!! Top/side fill, top airflow as smooth as can be. Good cloud, but wow, great flavor. It's going to make me put my Crius Plus back into its box for the stash. This is going to live on my VT75.

Every year from kindergarten till he graduated, our son would bring us a viral gift home from school, during the first month after school started. Towards the end of that, it got less certain, and/or less awful, as his immunities grew. And sometimes he'd get sick, but the mate and/or I would not, which he thought was terribly unfair; I told him, one day YOU'll be middle aged, and have your own immunities. :D That's one of the other great things about getting older -- you've already had so many colds, you don't get them too often. (of course the biggest gift of middle age for women is menopause!) :giggle:

OR, the last time one of them had that virus, they touched something which she's recently touched again. Since viruses aren't really "alive," it's astonishing how long they can stay viable.

Dang!! I've been gone a couple of days and everyone got sick??? What the heck!
I'm back in my regular building now and it's great to have my 2 monitors back instead of working with that little laptop monitor. lol
I'll never get caught up here but consider it all "liked" if it was good news. :)

I might agree with that, but it hasn't been long enough to get in her system and start this reaction. I never get any of the stuff myself, but quite often when I go to a doctor appointment, some bug rides me home and she gets it ... 4 - 7 days later. It has only been two days since shopping and she started showing symptoms last night, so that would only be barely over one day from exposure. Can't blame the mail lady either because Lannie rarely touches the mail...

I like garlic :)
So do I. I put it in almost everything I cook. Love the whole trinity.
The holy trinity, Cajun holy trinity, or holy trinity of Cajun cooking consists of onions, bell peppers and celery, the base for much of the cooking in the regional cuisines of Louisiana. The preparation of Cajun/Creole dishes such as étouffée, gumbo, and jambalaya all start from this base.

Those 3, plus garlic, are how I start a LOT of stuff! Especially teriyaki chicken; I drizzle a little teriyaki sauce (just a few drips) into the sizzling oil; at that point, whoever's at home finds their way into the kitchen and says WHAT IS THAT AMAZING SMELL?!?!?! :giggle:

I really wouldn't know how to cook much, without garlic. My husband says that's how he can tell Andria's cooking... he can smell the garlic. :D

Yep! Gold ole' southern cooking. Do you use the jars of chopped garlic too? mmmmmmmmmmm
I buy BIG jars of them. And then when I go to Louisiana I buy huge containers of freeze dried trinity, basil and parsley.

My old truck can't compare to Fuzzy and Andria's high dollar cruziers but she's a real trooper. Quarter million on the dial and that V8 can still light them up through a foot of snow.

Trying to hit the truck, mugshot and action vaping shot but all I see is a blind old man and a wore out truck.

That's a nice pic coolerat.
Atcha, you're not alone as I don't like curry either. :)
Someone was cooking something in their crockpot at work yesterday with gobs of curry. It stunk up the whole building! I felt bad because it wasn't even "our" building and one of "us" cooked it. Part of our building caught on fire Tuesday night so we were across town all week.

Why do you think I had such a hard time being around you, I tried, man, I tried so hard but it was impossible to hold those kind of feelings back.

Actually, I take it by spells, either (healthy) raw garlic, just buy the bulbs at the grocery; or (easy) garlic powder. I've been doing "easy" for a while, and recently told the ol man I thought I'd go back to "healthy" for a while and chop my own raw garlic. I find basil difficult to deal with; so STRONG, it tends to be very overwhelming. Not a fan of pesto. And I've never really had any use for parsley.
