At the place I used to work they had a pond so the Canadian geese were EVERYWHERE!! They had to build a fence to keep them out of the smoking/break area because they would actually come up to you and snatch the food out of your hand. Plus there was :poop::poop::poop::poop: piles everywhere. :giggle: You had to watch where you were walking when you headed to the parking lot. :D

They're all over the parking lot at our local Kroger shopping center. There are little "islands" all over it, of small trees with pine-needle mulch; the geese use that mulch for making nests for their eggs; you'll see the female sitting there, and the male stompin all around, guarding her. :D After once being honked at and charged by an irate gander with a goose and several little ones behind him, when I lived in MI, I keep my distance from those bastards, they're mean as a snake.

I still wanna know what bird makes that "work it, work it, work it!" call. :D

Why, I'm not about too. It's lovely that a person can speak openly, truthfully and freely. There's far to much worrying about what we should and shouldn't say. I spent 8 years of been told what to do. If they don't like it, then they have the choice to put me on ignore.
Rixy tried that yesterday, don't think he'll try it again.
Love you Lynn x
Nope, you want to find your own path, make your own mistakes, sure Emmy. I'll be here for you either way, I know your father ruled you and you don't like being told but it was simply advice I was offering, nothing more, you are free to do as you please. Won't stop me loving you or thinking any less of you. I will be here for you regardless.

This is me, love me or hate me :)
If only life was as black and white as that.
Me too! If he shows here, I'm outta here!
If he shows up here, I would have to give him credit for having some pretty big balls cause he would get a lot of stick. Maybe he is here, maybe he has been a member for years, who knows :)

Sorry everyone. I'm going to leave the forum until I can get my head straight. I like you all and you don't want to listen to me going on about stuff.
Take care and I will see you when I'm better.

Same here. I don't think I hate anyone. Can think of only one that is close.

Oh, I know! I know! Pick me! Pick me.gif

And they'll steal your golf ball if they think it might be an egg. One place the ex and I used to play a lot had a bunch of geese (Canada honkers) living there, and the first time one stole my golf ball, I tried to get it back. BIIIIG mistake! And that wasn't the first time I'd been chased by a goose, so you'd think I woulda learned my lesson. I did learn it that second time. After that, if one of 'em wanted a golf ball, I just let 'em have it, and dropped another one (at a safe distance) to continue playing. They ARE scary when they're mad!

The ones at work would walk right up to you and snatch the food right out of your hand. Then stand there and dare you to take it away. And if they had babies and were in the parking lot, you walked a WIDE berth around them or they would charge you. Those suckers are bad!! :)

There is another way, if you want to use the VU software. Before posting, open your picture in Paint. Drag the bottom frame down half an inch, save, then post. The VU logo comes up, but it is off the picture so anyone who wants to save that pic for later use can easily wipe it off. See my grumpy cat post above (math cat).
