HELP. My Nonna's Cake E-Liquid recipe taste Bad

I'm a new in DIY e liquid and I've mixed with FA Nonna's Cake in my recipe. But the taste/flavor is very light and there is a little bit alcohol smells and bitter in my diy liquid. Maybe anybody can help me and explain to me.

This is my recipe : (Shake n Vape)

Cap Sweet Strawberry 5%
TFA Strawberry Ripe 3%
FA Raspberry 0.5%
FA Nonna's Cake 2.5%
FA Cookie 0.5%
FA Fresh Cream 1%
FA Vienna Cream 1%
FA Custard 1%

hmm that is strange - none of the listed ingredients should have any alcohol in them... I wouldn't consider that mix a shake a vape.. I would give it a day at least .. and more like 3/5 for full flavor. Make sure you Shake your flavors and nic very well before mixing.

Thanks. All of my flavours and Nic are PG Based. First I mix PG + Nic + Flavour and shake well. Then I mix it with the VG.

Is it true that Cap Sweet Strawberry or TFA Strawberry Ripe contains Ethyl Alcohol?

Oh, I'm definitely not the person to ask about strawberry, or Nonna. I didn't like Nonna flavoring at all, and strawberry vapes just aren't my thing. Percentage wise, everything looks fine to me. Hopefully someone that does vape both of those can give you good information there.

I really love vanillas and cookies, and SOME fruit vapes. I vape mainly 2 different ones, all day, everyday, then sometimes I just mix up a recipe from the forum for a change of taste. Bitterness could be from NIC, Raspberry, or Vienna.
Fresh Cream isn't sweet either.
FA Cookie can be used up to 4% if needed.
Fresh Cream can go to 3%, but I'd drop the Vienna completely.
And I'd lower the Nonna's down to 1% or less, sometimes needs to steep a week.
Don't think the FA Custard is doing much here either.
I'd do 5% Strawberry Ripe + 3% Sweet Strawberry myself.

Common pairing = TFA Strawberry / CAP Sw Strawberry ... but I would switch them % wise - ie like 5% TFA / 3% CAP .. see what that does for you. Very common usage is the reg TFA Strawberry vs the 'ripe' w the CAP. Many swear by INW Shisha Strawberry.. Very highly rated!

Strawberry is one of the most difficult flavors tho.. everyone seems to taste each one of them very differently, so 'trial and error' really.

I want make a Shortcake with Strawberry and Raspberry as topping for it.

The fruit part is easy, but the shortcake, or "cake" in general is much harder.
And the INW Shisha Strawberry mentioned is the best I've used also.
Haven't found a Raspberry I like yet, so I'd leave that one out for now, keep it simple to start with.

Simple but good one to start with:
2% Shisha Strawberry + 1% INW Biscuit
OR
5% TFA SB Ripe + 3% CAP Sweet SB + 2% FA Cookie

Next batch add 0.5-1% INW Shisha Vanilla and/or 1% TFA Dairy Milk
OR
1% FA Mad.Vanilla + 1% TFA Dairy Milk

Then add 1-3% FW Yellow Cake but lower the Biscuit to 0.5%.
(FA Cookie or CAP Sugar Cookie may also work instead of Biscuit but use at 1-2%)

2-3% TFA Cheesecake Graham will fit in with this also.

Another simple one more like Strawberry Ice Cream:

2% INW Shisha Strawberry (or 5% TFA SB Ripe + 3% CAP Sweet SB)
4% CAP VBIC
2% TFA Dairy Milk
1 or 2 drops of super sweet in 15ml

If you get any bitterness it's probably bad NIC.
Try making a batch without any and retest.
