Avoiding oxidization by using Nitrogen N2

I've seen a lot of comments on the board about oxidization of nicotine. People freeze it to avoid it, and prolong shelf life.

I got some N2 cartridges laying around. After opening a bottle of VG nicotine I was thinking I could jus top up the bottle with N2, flush out any oxygen and even after tapping into the bottle the nicotine should not start to break down.

What you think, will this work?

Hm. I just found out I don't got any way to drain those N2 cartridges. Iirc I payed like close to 200 $ for one regulator for using the N2 for beer gas. No way I sink that kind of money into a regulator just to flush a nic bottle.

Anyone know a cheap way to tap into those N2 cartridges?

Use N2 cartridges to pour beer - Put Nic in freezer - Drink beer.

Hehe I would if I still was an eager home brewer. I now brew only twice a year for such small amounts I just bottle the brew and let it carbonate in the bottles.

Since when can't you link to amazon pages here? Anyways, an interested person can search amazon for "True 1026 Private Preserve." I think it's smart to use a product like this if you've bought a gallon of nic with the expectation that most of it will be in long term storage.

Hehe the linked showed up when I was about to quote your previous post, so I already placed my order for a couple of cans.

It seems you have hit the wrong button when placing the link, the media button rather then the link button.

Here is link wrapped as URL https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GO9C4QY

And here as media:
Code:
[MEDIA=amazonitem]amazon.com/gp/product/B00GO9C4QY[/MEDIA]
