Suggestions for a compact box mod

I've been looking at those really hard. I missed out on the vtc mini I posted about earlier. I seen ecig.com has the IPV D3 for $28.95. Kinda leaning that way since it looks a touch smaller. What's a decent tank without crazy expensive replacement coils for the D3?

Also while I was at the shop I checked out the pico and the cupti. Both were nice and pocket friendly for someone in construction. Anyone got some experience with either of these?
The pico is an awesome/compact little mod. Single 18650 75w, light & well I <3 the hell out of mine :)
I'm leaning toward the pico, target mini and the mini volt kits. I'd be interested in the cupti, but I can't seem to find a better deal than $60 w/o a battery lol

My missus has had the nano for over a year now...only issue...she occasionally unscrews the glass instead of the whole unit for refilling (no big deal-just messy)....25R battery lasts her 12 hours at 18W and she goes thro around 6ml of juice a day...the 0.5ohm OCC coils last her 4-6 weeks before the flavour goes bad/burnt...

She's happy with it and it was cheap to buy and genuine coils are also cheap to buy...

Hope this helps a little in your search..,

By far, I prefer the Topbox/KBox Mini with NI200 or SS316 TC. Can easily fit in a shirt and back pocket and be barely noticeable, even with a pocket tee. Another, newer option is the eVic AIO. For an internal (replaceable) tank, it's very compact. You WILL need to find a good anti-spitback drip tip, though. Oh, it also has a tank/RBA adapter.

Yeah, a D3 will do you well.

as for a tank, think about anything Aspire Atlantis compatible. Atlantis-style coils are made by a lot of companies, and can be had for cheap from brands like Starre, Vaporesso, Playboy, etc. Maybe not as good as what Aspire actually makes (like those clapton coils... *drool*), but it at least gives you the option of going cheap or going expensive for nice coils...

That thread shows a big (though probably not 100% complete) list of tanks that take atlantis-style coils.

New to this forum....did you ever find the nice compact unit you were hoping for? I have an Osub Mini.. can give a bit of a review if you are still looking at it.

Yes I ended up going with the ipvd3. I've not had it long and I've already dropped it about 1000 times. Cosmetic scratches but everything else works great. But I'm always looking for new mods. So go ahead and give a review of the osub mini. Is it an internal battery? I'm not familiar with it at all.

Funny... I think I wanna get an ipvd5.... the osub mini has its own internal battery. The output is 40 watts but it works well with the supplied. 4ohm dual coil. Good amount of vapor and flavor ...even though I am a rookie myself. The tank is small, and only holds 2mL. From what I can tell ....at 40W I can do about 3 or 4 refills before the battery needs to be recharged. Battery charging is done via USB, and takes about 2-3 hours from completely dead. The reason I bought it was to vape at bar smoking areas....and it has proven to be perfect for that matter. It fits in the back pocket with ease. HOWEVER. If I were to do it again I would a got the osub 80 watt. This mod is still small and pocket friendly...but has more power and does firmware uogrades.

Thanks.... I've been checking out some DNA mods and the Smok alien as well. I'm not sure I want to have to set up escribe and go into every time I change batteries cause I don't have serveral paired sets of batteries and what not. They are all different brands lol

Back-read on this thread (hey, that rhymes) for a bit and I'm guessing you're into small mods. I can definitely recommend the pico. I love it to bits. To give you an idea of size, here it is next to my other mods:

I recently bought my first dna device which is the Lavabox M. It is much lighter than my pico despite being bigger. It is in fact slightly bigger than my vtc mini. Despite that fact though, it's my new daily driver and imho a beautiful looking mod. Here it is next to my pico:

I love small mods as I rarely go above 45w depending on which tank im vaping. Most of my tanks are now unused though and I mainly vape on my serpent minis since i can vape it at 20w. Now I know that doesnt sound like much but it blows clouds at that power. Im no cloud-chaser but it can totally put out a lot of clouds if youre into that sort of thing.

Since we are both newer vapors. Can you use different brand batteries without having to go into escribe when changing? Also what tanks are those? Is the serpent mini on the lavabox?

Yes, you don't have to go to escribe when swapping out batteries regardless of brand. At least as far as I know since this is my first dna device.

The tanks from left to right are:
1. Melo II
2. Cleito
3. Moradin RTA
4. Moonshot RTA

Both tanks on the bottom pic are Serpent Minis, ss on the pico and black on the lavabox. Honestly though, I find that the ss version is built better. Never really liked black tanks as they scratch very easily but I bought it just so it matches the color scheme on the lavabox. Im just wating for the local vape shops to bring in the Dotmod Petri rta (not sure if thats correct). A gold tank would look ironman-ish on the blood red lavabox

I havent seen it online yet as I my search brings up an rda instead of an rta. Any idea what the exact name of the tank is?
