Are these a safe combo?
How's 0.35 dual coils with two Samsung 30qs?
Should I buy some 25rs instead?
I Would get some Sony or LGs but too scared of getting fakes and turning my face into hamburger meat.

I believe the 30qs are 15amp batteries...?

The 30Qs are 20A and so are the 25Rs.
You should not go below 0.4 with those batteries.
If you want to go 0.35 you should get 25A (or 30A).

25A = LG HD2, HD2C, HD4, Sony VTC5A
30A = LG HB2, HB4, HB6
You could get by with Sony VTC4 (23A) or Samsung 20R (22A)

If you only need 25A you should get 25A and not 30A since 25A batteries have higher capacity the 30A.

Should I wrap some coils at 0.50ohms instead?? I read people do 0.3ohm coils all day long on the cricket.

You can do 0.3 but with the right kind of batteries.
0.4 with 20A batteries, 0.35 with 25A and 0.3 with 30A

It all comes down to what wattage you're trying to reach.

I know the amp calculations but how do I calculate the wattage? I want to stay between 70-85w

0.8 ohm should bring you to around 85W (88.2) with fully charged batteries and without calculating voltage drop.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohm's_law

If you don't want to learn ohm's law and do the calculations on your own l, you can get an ohm's law calculator.

Oh and btw, building at 0.3 will bring you to around 235W

Personally I like to build low and and don't really need such high wattage so I prefer a parallel mech at around 0.15

I forgot the cricket is 8.2v not 4.2v
x2Amps. No I have Not used the cricket yet hence why I posted this and am doing asking a about calculations etc.
I have an ohms law chart and calculator know how yo use it. My dumb ass has gotten so lazy using box mods I forgot ohms law, got other things I use daily and ohms law is not one of them.

The cricket is series mech with 2 4.2V max batteries so 4.2X2 = 8.4V max and that what I'm using for my calculations.

I use it every day but have not gotten into using 8.2v mechs.
I'm sending you a pm

The Cricket is series, it's 8.4. I do figure in voltage drop so I usually figure 8.0 or 8.1. Parallel I figure it at 3.8 or 3.9.

OK, I have several wire types to wrap a high ohm coil. I have A1 in 26,32 Gauge and SS316L 22,24,26 Gauges. Need to figure out the diameter and wraps. I figure a single 26g A1 coil with 7 wraps. Would really like to have dual coil

What ever will fit the device, use Steam-engine to gauge what diameter, wire gauge and wraps.

Both 30Qs and 25Rs are 20A
But since you already said you intend to vape at around 80W then 20A batteries are perfectly safe for you.

Also very important that they are married, don't go mix matching them.

Do yourself a favor and get some Sony VTC5a's. Highly recommended by Mooch, 25 amps and 2500 MAh. I got a batch from IMR Batteries and absolutely love them.

VTC5a's not the VTC5's, the "a'" are the 25a.

I recommend IMR Batteries, they can be trusted and they have good prices. They also include battery cases.

I've been sporting a dual 12 wrap 26g 2.5mm ka1 in a phenotype-l on the NC. Ohms out to .71 calcs out to 100watts approx 12amps. fast ramp great warm flavor and lots of dense vapor. 3 pulls and my living room kitchen and dining room looks like the making of a horror flic graveyard scene. Wife hates it when i use the NC. I like to be real safe the dual unregulated, double the boom.

1.47ohms per coil? Not bad I'll give that a go in a subzero 22mm comp rda and in an hour or two.
I'll Post my results here!
