Need istick TC100W info, please!

I'm looking at this mod for the dual battery/smaller size factor. I have been vaping since 2009 and the current stash is mostly Kanger sub kits, a Punisher/Conquerer combo, a ZMax, Provari 2.5, etc. (nothing really high output). I would be using this mod at around .5 ohms at about 10-12W.

My biggest concern is battery safety. I use IMRs for everything but really prefer battery protections in my mods. I can't find any info anywhere on overcharge protection if you use the onboard usb, reverse polarity protecton, etc. It has several TC, VW, and bypass functions as well as being software up-gradable to 120W so I assume there are protections. Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!

It has all the usual protections, however I do not believe it provides balanced charging for a 2 battery setup, and while you can charge through the usb it's better to use an external charger. That's really true for just about all of the less expensive mods. If you really feel the need for in mod charging, you're better off with something like a DNA based mod.

The Istick 100W TC has all the protections you would expect from a modern mod, however I wouldn't trust it with charging (like I wouldn't trust most mods), so I would get an external charger.
Which batteries are you using btw?

Thanks for the replies! I use an Xtar VC4 charger and the Samsung 25s which I am replacing with LG HG2s as they wear out. I have used the onboard on my Kanger subs when I've been desperate for a charge, but I don't make a habit of it. Where did you folks find the protection information? I can't find it on any sites, even eleaf's site, or on any video reviews anywhere.

If im not mistaken you can google Istick tc 100w user manual and it should come up. If you can't find it pm me and let me know. If I can find my box I'll check and see if it's in the manual there. I've had mine since June. I really like it for a dual battery mod. No issues so far.

Thanks, unknown! I finally found it 3 pgs deep on eleafworld. Oddly, it doesn't say anything about overcharge protection- but that isn't a great idea anyway. I usually buy more rugged single battery mods and put sleeves on them for extra cushion. This would be an "I don't want to go change batteries right now" kind of mod for home use.

I have a few different tanks I use on mine and vape anywhere from 20w to 55w and it will last me at least two days of all day use. Some days I vape more than others but I get two days easily from it.

I won't buy another Eleaf product ever again, somehow I lost a bottom rectangle magnet that is on the Istick tc100 mod itself not the battery cover magnet. I contacted Ismoka themselves and asked to buy the magnet and they said they can't sell me them, only the battery covers. I have every mod that Istick has made and have bought dozens as gifts for friends. The mod still works but only for desktop use. :cuss2::gaah::xD::(

A lot of comanies are like that these days, Bigbob. I don't know if you would want to go this route, but I saw a non working one on ebay for parts.

ETA- Nevermind......that one isn't tc. Maybe try putting a want to buy ad in the trading post for a dead one?

I have three of these.
2 still look like they haven't been taken out of the box but do indeed get used regularly, just at my desk.
The third one (black) I use while on the mower.
It just sits in the cup holder getting the shit kicked out of it.
I mow 4 acres so it takes a while.
The Cleito with a bubble tank is the only tank I use on that particular one.
It looks like I may have tied a rope to it and dragged it behind my car daily for a month however I take great care of my hardware.
Just it bumping around in the cup holder has removed a lot of the paint.
Not quite as much as @Shorevaper but I think since mine still has SOME of the black paint, it actually makes it look worse.
With that said, the mod still works flawlessly and I rely on it while I mow.
I trust it will continue to be my mowing vape for the next few years.

All that just to say I think it is a well built durable mod.

Mine still looks new. I did have a lose magnet on the mod but I superglued it in and never had any other issues with mine.

I did forget to comment on that part.
I also had one lose magnet and also a touch of super glue resolved the issue.

Any difference between this and the 80w iPower? Just got the 80w in last week and I am loving it, but could use a bit more umph for my duel coil builds.

The iPower has an internal battery.
The TC100 used dual 18650.
It'll also run on a single 18650 if for some reason you need to.

Update- It took me a while to get used to it. At first it didn't really seem to hit as hard as my subox or punisher. It was either less vapor or burnt. I played with the wicking in my tanks and finally found a good zone. I rarely take it over 12w, but it lasts for days. I use this more than anything else at home now.
