I also dont quite understand ecactly how this preheat works with timing. I know it has to do with ram up time however o. Wattage should i set it the same on preheat? Sorry i know i sound like a moron.

you don't need to use the feature but it allows you to set your vape up in steps so for instance

.5 sec 60 watts
.5 sec 80 watts
.5 seconds 100 watts
3 seconds 120 watts

so you can have a slow ramp or vice versa. honestly I don't see the point. just set your wattage and go for it.

If you were to build with massively large coils that take a while to heat up, you'd use these settings to get them to a warmer temp faster.
if you WANT to vape at 100 watts, set your preheats to maybe 120 or 150 for about half a second or so.
This will throw more power at them right off the bat so after that half second, they'll be ready for that 100 watts that you want to vape at.
Determining what wattage to set those at and for how long is something that comes with trial and error per user basically.
If you are using standard stock prebuilt coils, odds are you will not need this feature.

Or I could run high wattage and use temp control to throttle it down like I usually do with fancy wires. If I wanted to I could run my G2 at 171 watts and TC mode and get the same instant ramp up and then have it lower. It seems like it's trying to do a temp control like vape only using wattage which in that case why not just temp control lol
