As most of us know that mod is great when working but the 510 connector is crap. I want to replace it and I found a video on youtube that showed me how to take it apart but I was hoping someone knows something about changing the 510 connector. I ordered a new one (very good quality) and I ordered a tool that is supposed to help remove it so I can replace it. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. I loved that mod when it was working. It was awesome.

I haven't yet done it, but it shouldn't be that hard. I have spare 510s ready and waiting for my Reauleauxs, and Cuboids, but it has been a year for my RX200, and it is still going strong.

If and when I replace it, I'll post pics here.

I took my cuboid apart to replace the 510 connector but it is a real hassle. I think they glued everything when putting these mods together. I have it apart all the way to the connector but it will not come out of the housing so I can put the new one in. Even tried heating a little with my hot air gun to see if it would loosen the glue but no luck. I am just going to really have to put the pressure on this to get it out and I am afraid it will ruin it before it comes out properly. I just set it aside for a while and will go back to it when I am not frustrated. I wouldn't bother but that mod worked great except for the connector. If I find a way to remove the old connector without damaging the housing which is aluminum and can possibly crack before I can repair it I will post how I get it done.

I have used a Klutch heat sink from the get go with my Cuboid, in fact I use a Klutch on all my mods. It's a lot easier replacing a 15 bucks heat sink than the 510.
