I am starting to get into mech mods (tube). What are some good sites to view and order them from? I mostly have regulated mods I order from eBay but a mech is not something I want to take a chance with eBay on. Any help appreciated.

TIA!

First one I'd go to a local shop

Get a feel for a few and find what you like...I own a Kennedy roundhouse and a limitless and recommend them both

To each there own but I'd advise avoiding copper and aluminum...I personally don't notice a difference in copper hitting "harder" and it's too soft, drop it once and it's never the same again...as for alumina everyone I've known that had one regretted it as the threads get jacked easily

Brass or stainless for me

Double check the battery ratings and don't take shops word for it...guys around here are idiots and suggest me battery's claiming I can run 40a after I plainly see it says 20a right on it

25r- 20a
Lg hd2c-25a

Those are what I use and don't build beyond the continuous rating....idc what "pulse" rating is I'm not playing with the possibility of a pipe bomb in my face

Vapordna.com is a very reliable site. My personal fav American store is vaporbeast.com. They've got free shipping after 35$ and always have great gear in their deal section.

Personally I would feel safer with a mech from EBAY than a regulated mod..... Mechs are pretty much all the same. A flashlighht with a receptivle for an atty rather than a bulb. Safe or not safe is all down to the USER. No a regu;ated mod on the other hand has all kinds of "safety" feature supposidly built in.. Seem to me buying an Ebay regulated mod would present much more risk.

Take a look at Fasttech.. Tons of mods, to at least look at, and a good forum with plenty of product dicussion. Even if you don't buy from there you'll get a good idea which product are good or bad. Fasttech is NOT a manufacturer so everything they sell is available elsewhere. If you bought on Ebay and it shipped from China, you might have already bought from FT.

You have a very good point...never thought about it that way. I don't even know what I want as far as a mech is concerned. Need something suited for beginner level but I guess they are all pretty much the same? Any suggestions?

Other than NO hybrid types.. not really.. although as a newbie... if you plan to vape at wattages over say 50. Get a parallel battery mod.... if only for battery life reasons.

If you have a regulated mid. I would get good at building for 4.2 volt or less, battery voltages ... before going to the mech. You don't have buck/boost circuits on a mech. The wattage I
You get depends 100% on the state of charge of your battery. And the only safety feature you get is the battery you buy.

WITH mechanical mods YOUR Brain is the safety device.

Then I might as well forget that idea lolol! Blondie here!
I have a series box coming Monday that was custom made for me. I have been vaping regulated mods for a year and a half now. Just feel it's time to branch out a bit. The only mech I have now is a hybrid and it's tricky that's for sure

Just remember with the series box your building for 8.4 volts and changing batt at about 7volts. 2 20 amp Batts give 20 amp or less of load. 2x the volts and 1x amps.

My favorite tube mod is the Oros V2 from Beyond Vape, wonderful tube mod. I love it so much I got another for my FDA Apocalypse stash. I also just picked up two of the stealth 18350 Oros tubes, love that little stealth Vape ;)

Beyond Vape has some Tube Mod's on sale, check them out. They carry some very good quality tube mods for a decent price.

main places I order from:
Select Vape (popular stuff) - http://www.selectvape.com/
The Switch SD (nicer slightly highend-ish) - https://theswitchsd.com/
Platinum Vapes (Avid Lyfe) - https://www.platinumvapeshiram.com/
Dragon's Den (Pinoy stuff) - http://dragonsdenvapor.com/main.sc
2VapedX (Pinoy stuff) - https://www.2vapedx.com/
Yeah I'm spending way to much money at Dragons Den, very, very nice mods there. I just blew my quarterly bonus there this weekend..............

I would love to slap their web master upside the face. Black font on a dark charcoal background, these old eyes can't read that shit...

Seriously he has outstanding quality gear at a fair price. I've checked out other places for the same gear and they are on average 15-20% more.

Man, that silver mod is bringing out the inner gangsta in me. ;)

Not really something I would buy, but I hate to say that $420 is pretty damned good when compared to similar stuff from Caravela and the like.

Yeah I was eyeing that also, but it has a hybrid style connection. The parallel is due in tomorrow, can't wait!

I don't mind hybrid, but I only buy clone mods like 4Nine or SMPL if I buy one. If something goes south, it goes out the window. I wouldn't drop much on a mod with a direct to battery connection or a true hybrid.

Parallel in THAT finish? That will be nuts. What will it come in at costwise? $600+?

Instead of smoking a $50 Cohiba with a nice glass of port/scotch, that would be a good alternative to the cigar. Hell, I might be able to sell the wife on that!

$550, was looking at it for a while then it was the last one so I said hell with it.

She's beautiful and the carving is awesome.

I looked at these a while back. Looks like a great mod. I have too many mechs now, but the wife and kids are asking me for Christmas ideas and one of these might be the ticket. ;)

Actually I believe Subzero was the first one to come up with that style of switch, could be wrong but I think it was them. Anyway I've been eyeballing it for some time now. But I'm more into Parallel and Series Mods, I'm pretty set for Tube Mod's. But if I was looking for another 18650 Tube it'd be more than likely the Subzero.
