Escribe/DNA200 help

So I have 2 DNA 200devices one is a vt133 the other is a boxer 200 that I just got. Both my DNA devices read my coil's ohms higher than what they are. For example if I install an aspire .5 ohm Clapton coil on either of these devices they read .56 up to .60 ohms. On all other devices sxmini, ipv400, innokin cool fire 4tc, smok alien, or Rx 200, or my multimeter these coils will read .50-.53. because of the wide assortment of devices outside the DNA boards it leads me to believe they are reading the truer number. So my question is can one you escribe/DNA gurus let me know if there is a setting in escribe to help get a resistance closer to the coil's rating?

A couple of things I'd suggest:
1. Make sure you are using the newest version of Escribe (V1.2 SP3 - look at the top of Escribe, click on Help, then about Escribe). Also make sure your mod is updated with the latest firmware (hook up the mod to the device monitor and it's in the lower right hand corner.

2. What is the mod resistance set at? It's in the mod tab of Escribe. The higher the number, the lower the resistance will be of the coil.
Example: Lets say the mod reads a total resistance of .5 ohms and your mods resistance is set to .01. The mod would subtract the mods resistance from the total read resistance to come up with the attys/coils resistance. Most of mine are set in the .004-.007 range. I have a few that are a little higher.

3. Lastly, you can go into the Atomizer Analyzer of Escribe (General Tab) and click on Override Ohms. I never do this, but the options there if you need it.

I have the newer service pack and it's sp4. You probably already know. Just putting it out there. With sp3 my dna250 would be charging at 2 amps and drop to 0 and go back up to 2 amps. It would do this every couple minutes. Sp4 solved that and now a steady 2 amps.

I have the SP4 as well. I didn't mention it here because it's only applicable for the DNA250 as far as I know. The OP was asking about DNA200 mods so I didn't mention it.

PS: To the OP, if you plan on getting a DNA250 I would recommend also downloading the SP4 service pack as well. It basically fixed charging issues with the DNA250 board. It's not a complete version of Escribe. You still need the version of Escribe I posted. The SP4 is an add-on.

This service pack is mostly bug fixes.

On the EScribe side:
- This resolves some scaling issues in Large Fonts mode / on high-DPI screens.
- Get Information shows which tests were actually performed by the manufacturer in Production Utility.
- Get Information's Manufacturer link did not work in 1.2 SP3. This has been fixed.
- When you had more than one DNA device connected, the auto-connect did not automatically select the new one in the Connect dialog. This has been fixed.
- Minor compatibility and bug fixes.

On the device side:
- Fixed a bug on the DNA 250 that could cause its charging to be slow with certain USB cables (in my tests, the problem cables were flat).

Other:
- For DNA 250, Production Utility now requires charge tests to be at least 900 mA. This may require a powered USB hub.

Oh yeah I forgot it's only for the 250. I knew you probably had sp4 but mentioned it just incase. Now that I think about it. Your the one who showed me the sp4 service pack. Lmao why do I even think I know something about dna's that you don't Steve.

That's too funny . By the way, I don't think I know it all when it comes to the chip (or anything else for that matter). I know you were just messing around but I felt like I should mention it (don't want anyone getting the wrong idea).

I'm having some trouble switching from one profile to another. I have setup 4 profiles in escribe abd uploaded my settings to the device but when I lock the mod and hit the up or down button twice it is not giving me the option to go to another profile. I know this sounds like a escribe noob thing but I've used it before with no issues. In this escribe version which is new to me do I have to upload each profile individually? I feel as if I am totally missing something here.

When you want to switch profiles you don't lock the power button. You have to lock the + and - buttons (adjustment buttons) by holding them both down until it either says power or temp locked. Then you press either the + or - button twice to get into the profile screens. Then pressing either the + or - button will scroll through the profiles (+ scrolls up, - scrolls down).
