OK I'm new to regulated vaping. Have been using mechs for past 2 1/2 years, I have been vaping. So, VW I get, as long as there is a volts reading.. And TC I am figuring out. BUT I can't figure out the TCR settings. FWIW I'm using 316L SS wire for TC at this point.
The manual shows the TCR range for SS as 80-200... I saw somewhere, can't find thread anymore, where the setting for 316 is 98. Sometimes this is good setting sometimes, I find I need to adjust the setting lower down to around 60 to get the vape I want.
How does TCR work?
How does the Pico TCR range relate to say TCR numbers from steam-engine?
What is proper way to determine TCR for a build?
Does TCR value change based in the build?
My current build is Avocado 22 single coil mode, 28/30 SS twisted to 2mm pitch on 2.9mm at 6 wrap for .5ohms. I run it at 16-20watts in VW and have the preheat set to 30watts. Regular TC seems to run too hot at 25watts and 350. I have M1 is set to 90 and 25 watts at 450. Deal is last week I had a 2x28 twisted coil and it worked fine in TC. Does coil mass have a big affect on how tc works? Because it seoms a bigger coil works better, maybe the smaller coil just doesn't need as much heat?
Suggest a setting, please.
