VaporBeast - WTF - Can't Place Order?!?

I am seriously frustrated.....I have been trying to place an order for like a half an hour - I live in Cali and we have new laws around online ordering but I am not even being affected by that yet - their interface doesn't recognize my perfectly legit street address and apartment number. I can't even GIVE this company money. Anybody else have an issue??

Grrr - sorry for venting :/

I've heard they take orders by phone, but I guess they're closed right now. If I remember this part correctly, they may have been purchased by somebody, too. Can't remember where I read that, but it was here in the forum.

They were purchased by Turning Point Brands (TPB), owner of the Zig-Zag.

They also now REQUIRE you to send them a copy of your ID and fill out a form.
The form is nothing special.
The copy of ID is a whole other story.
I emailed back and forth with them for 2 days and they even said signing for delivery was NOT an option.
I asked that they cancel my order and wish I had spent my previous $400+ elsewhere.
I will no longer purchase form VaporBeast.

Just call them, whenever they are open for biz again.
You will get a real live person on the phone & they will process your order, send an email w/a form you need to fill the blanks on & take a photo of ur i.d.alongside that completed form & email back to them.
Then your order ships as normal.
It is frustrating for sure, had to go thru this myself with the other day. But they have some killer deals, especially right now, so the minor hassle is worth it.

Just placed an order last night, no issues. Only had to enter my birth date, nothing else.Shipping to a Texas address.

If the info you enter (name, address, last 4 of ss#) matches what the 3rd party verification source has on record for you then you won't have to go thru any extra 'hoops'.
If your like me & haven't been married long enough for your last name change to have processed through all channels, then you gotta hoop it.

I will never send a copy of my ID and damn sure never provide my SS# to anyone.
That's just asking for trouble.
That is also why I will never do business with VaporBeast again.
It's just the last 4 digits of the social & it isn't going to Vapor Beast.
You have the choice of contacting the 3rd party verifier or Vapor Beast directly if there's a problem and you need to submit your driv lic/id.
But just to clarify they do not ask for a full social.

Placed an order last night, didn't have to send pic of ID or even put in my last 4 of the social. I honestly didn't even see a place to put that in. It's shipping to a Texas address as well

It's just the last 4 digits of the social & it isn't going to Vapor Beast.
You have the choice of contacting the 3rd party verifier or Vapor Beast directly if there's a problem and you need to submit your driv lic/id.
But just to clarify they do not ask for a full social.
You just don't know what can be done with those last 4, I on the other hand do so I will NOT be providing those.
I DID communicate though many emails with them and the ONLY option they offer is to send a copy of your ID after completing the form.
They told me signing for delivery was NOT an option.
It is certainly your choice to make and I am not knocking it.
I am just choosing to protect my identity and such.
They do not need this info and I refuse to provide it.

Thank you for your order. Due to current FDA Regulations classifying vapor products as tobacco products, as a retailer we are required under CFR21 Part 1140.14 to verify that the purchaser is over the age of 18. Additionally due to the tobacco related state laws, we must also verify that the purchaser is over the legal age in their state of residence to purchase tobacco products. In many cases this is over 18 years of age.

In an effort to complete your purchase, please fill out and return (email) the attached age attestation form, along with a photo of your ID. After we receive the signed form and ID, it will be reviewed prior to your order being released.

We thank you for your cooperation and apologize for the inconvenience.

I gladly provided that.
However they followed it us by requiring a copy of my ID.
Not gonna happen.

They first attempted to do this back in the beginning of August.
I sent them a complaint about it and they sent me the following message:
"As of yesterday, we implemented an online verification system. Using this, you will not have to send a photo ID. If the online verification system is unable to verify you, only then will we request an ID.
Have a Vapetastic Day! We look forward to assisting with your vaping needs in the future."
After that things seemed ok for a while.
I placed an order with them on NOV 11 with no issues.
I tried to place another order on NOV 19th just to have this come back up again.
If they can't keep their shit together, I want nothing to do with them.

Arghhhhhhh! I have been trying to call these people for a while today - the voice message says "you have called outside our business hours" - I haven't....I am on west coast time just like they are and the message states that they close at 5pm. I was thinking maybe they are closed today because of the holiday many businesses are closed the day after - just not usually places that are ostensibly selling shit specifically discounted for Black Friday. Then I heard a click and there was a message saying "we are experiencing high call volume please leave a message". FFS are they open or not??? Still super frustrated.

I guess my info was good enough for their 3rd party verification service. Didn't have to enter the last four of my social, nor did I receive an email asking for more information. Just placed my order, and the next day received my tracking number. Wish it was that easy for everything.

And of course I try to call today - same thing and they are now out of what I wanted. I will never order from them - I am good and pissed off :/
