Billow v3 leaking issue, also discussing v2 and 2.5

I've had my v3 awhile now and am having issues of it leaking between where the tank meets the deck and the top cap has always been a pain in the ass to push back down. I've never bothered to try to mess with the top cap because I'm so used to it it doesn't bother me anymore, but the leaking drives me nuts. I've tried taking everything apart a few times, reassembling, cleaning everything, and replaced that o-ring, but it still leaks especially when it's in my pocket from time to time. I know it's not my build because it never leaks a drop except between the tank and deck. any suggestions would help.

I loved my v2. it was bulletproof as far as leaking goes and the flavor in both the v2 and v3 are spot on, but I was tired of that tank breaking because it was glass and I liked the velocity style deck of the v3.

Now I see there's a 2.5 out which apparently blends the two together. anyone have any thoughts about it? again, would appreciate thoughts on fixing the v3.

Is the v3 a v3 plus ? Thats the only billow i now own , they keep going on sale so cheap enough to pick up a new one , i couldnt figure out a fix so passed it on an bought another an now no leaking , but thats not a fix , The plus was it paid for its self since i sold it on for 22£ an new one was 15£ delivered ,

No it's not a plus. it's just the regular version. my question is why do they keep getting bigger and bigger tanks? 5mls and I'm happy. If they replaced the glass tank of the v2 with a plastic version I'd buy that.

Bigger tanks are not something new...
Some vapers, LIKE ME,like big building decks, big coils more flavor IMO...

I don't mind large building decks like the v3's, but why such massive tanks? either way we're getting off topic. I'd like to know fixes for my v3 and see if anyone has tried the v2.5 at all.

Regarding the v2.5. For me personally the v2.5 is what the v3 should have been. I would say its a good but not great tank, good for flavor but a much smaller build deck than either of the V3s. The JFC doesn't completely seal when the top is unscrewed to fill so you have a flooded deck as soon as you screw the top back on. I've tried to "burp" it by flipping it over when the top is half way on before completely screwing it shut but it didn't seem to make much difference. I resorted to wrapping a paper towel around the base, opening the air flow all the way and blowing the holy hell out of it.

Now, regarding the v3. I hate this tank.. absolutely hate it lol. From the stupid press fit base, to the wonky top side fill I was super disappointed with it. Now, I only have the standard v3 and not the plus, but from what I've read there's a lot of the same problems with leaking/seeping. I did have Eciggity send me the replacement O-rings for the bases but they made zero difference and they leak/seep like no other tank I've owned.

TLDR: Save yourself the headache and get a Boreas or Aromamizer Supreme, those are legit tanks.

Anyone know where I can get a good deal on the billow v2.5 and get it by Christmas?

Never owned the V2 or the variants of the V3, but I do own the V2.5, Only have 2 complaints, the above mentioned build deck is on the small side, and air flow; air flow being the larger of the 2 complaints imo.

If you're still looking for an awesome Atty at a killer steal....

Last day for this deal, probably end after today.
I ordered 2 of em from yeti on thursday, still haven't gotten a shipping conformation. Never ordered from em before so I don't know if that's typical but it's annoying.

Yeah, got the email also, woohoo
Yeah, Yeti vape sucks, ordered friday, got the order shipped email tuesday, no tracking info wednesday, checked again this morning and the USPS has been notified to expect the package so they don't even have it yet. So basically it took Yeti vape a week to process my 2 tank order, say another 4 days to ship so nearly 2 weeks to get 2 tanks? What's the point of ordering from a us supplier at that point?

Weird, the 4 I ordered arrive on Saturday.

upload_2016-12-1_8-47-2.png

I did E-mail them on Monday before I got the tracking and someone with the last name Monde replied saying they sold WAY more than they anticipated but had more in route.

8 days for me from time of purchase to my door.

I'm ok with that, especially at $7.50 a pop...

Better than SlowTech...Ordered my Therion 167 on the 24th...In stock on the 3rd...Probably ship on the 5th...then there is that transit time lol, be lucky to have it by X mas (1 Month)

But we all know, order from China, then forget about it til it arrives....THEN GO WOOT! :)

Also to be on topic... Really dig the billow v2.5

My V2 experience has been amazing...Having used the V1 for about one year now it was a great improvement overall to the V1...I had some wicking issues at first but youtube helped me solve that problem...A great warm flavorful vape at between 35 to 40 watts..I use a 96vg/4pg home made juice and have yet to get a dry hit even after chain vaping...haven't had a single leak from the air flow ports nor from any of the seals...Im very happy with my V2 and will be trying the V3 sometime in January.

Good to hear. I have been using one of my two v3 plus for a few months without issue but also have two of the v2 in my stash I have yet to try.

Billow V3 plus , RTA, its a superb vape nice large deck 25mm over 5ml juice capacity top fill design,
Im sure you could add new Orings if it started leaking or replace the deck part Eciggity sells the deck bottom art on its own , but this is one fine tank , you can usually pick one up delivered for 15£ on Gearbest if lucky in sale well worth while ,
Only thing im not a big fan of is press fit bases , like this an merlin , New merlin mini dont have press fit now , since its all Removable strip down an swap decks if billow can do the same on Say a v4 version with 2 decks that would be great an very popular

I bought and returned 2 V3 pluses. For the same reason you'll see people complain about on the eciggity site. The thing leaks around the base/air flow ring seal. It's a seepage. No replacement rings helped. It's just a loose ring fit for some reason. So they sent me a 2.5 since I really wanted a new rta. I curse the small chamber. I threw two builds away because they wouldn't fit and ended up with a 26 ga kanthal build around a 2.5. mm bit. I curse the wicking and the time I have to spend. So I finally get this all squared away and....wow. What a fantastic flavor tank. No leaking. Very sensible juice flow control. Unscrew the tank and it closes. I don't look forward to rebuilding this thing but the results are worth it.

If you like the v2 them you'll love the 2.5. I really liked my v2 and have a v3, but I didn't like it as much. The top cap is a pain to open and close to fill it and it seeps out around the bottom even after I tried replacing o-rings. The 2.5 is really combining the best of the 2 and 3. The threads definitely need breaking in though cause everything is crazy tight at first.

I got a Billow 2.5 a couple of weeks ago and agree with folks that while it can take trial and error to get a build to fit the chamber area because the build deck is smallish to work with, flavor is totally worth it. The 2.5 also has the best fit and finish I've seen yet on a tank (I've only bought 'commercial' stuff not high end).

Using troll doll wicking worked quickly for me. Put the chamber ring back on after threading wicks through the coils, so the 4 wick tails stick out of the top. Cut the wicks off just a little above the ring and stuff them down to just cover the holes. One build and 2 re-wicks since I received the tank and I've had no leaks. I like that the ring is separate from the actual chamber and is more like a chamber liner than a structural part of the chamber. You don't have to worry about your tank glass coming off of the top of the tank if/when you take the lower half of the chamber off for wick capture.

I just went to the post office to see my Billow v3 plus in the box...Took it home and washed it in some dawn dish soap as I do all my tanks...I couldn't believe the size of the build deck, Massive!!!!...I was able to fit a 7 wrap fused Clapton ( dual 26g wrapped in 36g) and I have room to go with 8 wraps if I want to..Im ohming out at .268 according to my smok alien mod and pulling 16.14 amps from my LG HG2 3000mah batteries at 75 watts watts...All I can say is flavor is among the best ive had on any tank and the clouds produced were the most ive ever blown from my own mouth...The only thing I don't like about it is that top fill cap feels crunchy lifting it up and down and it sometimes feels like it gets stuck...But you know what I don't care..best dual coil rta ive ever used Period!!!!..Time to install my new VTC4's and crank it up even more.:bliss:

yes, the top fill can be a bit tuff at times but you get used to it. I usually use a paper towel for added grip since I usually have to wipe it a bit after I close it. This and the Boreas are my 2 fave RTA right now and in daily rotation. They are also the only 2 toppers I still run in VW mode (only because I have lots of clapton wire/coils to use up). Everything else I run in TC mode. I have 1 of each as spares in the stash and got 4 new boreas showing up tomorrow. Will probably grab a few more billow v3+ or 2.5 eventually as well. I still have 2 x billow v2 in the stash I haven't even tried yet.

Ive liked everything Billow ive used so far..hell, the billow V1 i used exclusively for about a year...That one tank put my orchids and hybrid orchids to sleep...Try that v2 its really nice..Not a huge air tank but decent flavor and cloud production on as little as 25 to 35 watts even on a lower ohm build.
