Nice looking mod.... There's just too many regulated box mods to talk about though, tarot is a nice looking box but there's nothing special about it right? Correct me if I'm wrong?

It is beautiful.
I personally love abstract & cubism art style. The shade of yellow is refreshing as well.
The designers did a really good job with the style.

Honestly it does not bother me:

I think it does have 2 unique , or uncommon at least, features.

It allows you to customize my draw.
Sometimes I'll be taking my usuals 2.5 to 3 seconds draw on my RX200s and wish it either ramped up or down or both.

On my Fuchai 213, I can do that but slightly restricted.
I.e.:

I'll set it to 80w, then set the first second to 85w.
So my first second is 85w, then remaining seconds will be 80w. Good but I prefer a bit more control.
I feel some juices require 84, then 82 then 80.

I can do this on the tarot pro from the menu screen. No need to connect to a laptop.

I'm unaware of any mod that has this feature.

Why did you want to go up an down on the wattage?

Because of juice flavor & temperature.

Each juice is different.
I'll notice that at 80w, it's not enough wattage. But if I set it to 84w, it's nice the first second, but the remaining 2 seconds are too hot.
The Fuchai somewhat resolves that.
But the tarot pro is completely customizable.
You can set the wattage for each second.

all the smok chips do it on device, and the RX just got a firmware update to do it FYI
DNA do it but needs to be programmed with a computer.
FSK has a pre-set non changeable preheat of full wattage for a split second

I have the original Tarot 200 watt.
Considered many different times getting a pro or two but after the let down the 200 gave me, I just couldn't.
Don't get me wrong.
It feels great and solid.
But it requires being turned up 10-15% higher than any other mod I have to get the same result.
Granted, that was my ONLY complaint about it.
See what ya did, now ya got me rethinking about getting one ..... or two.
With the great sales this weekend it'd definitely be a good time.
But damnit, I just don't need another mod....hahaha yeah right.

I'm unfamiliar with Smok chips.
But the recent RX200s firmware preheat option is different from the tarot pro option.
The RX200s is like the Fuchai. It's basically a two stage feature. You can only set two wattages and the seconds between them.
The tarot pro lets you set the wattage for each half second.

Fuchai / RX200s:
80w for x seconds then 85w
Or
85w for x seconds then 80w

The tarot pro:
80w 82w 84w 83w 83w 82w 80w

Much more flexibility

To be honest, what's the issue with having to increase wattage compared to another device?
I know. It's poor craftsmanship. It's inconsistent. We're verging on the year 2017.
But it's something I can live with if it's off by 15-20%.
So long as I'm not nearing the limit of the device.
I.e:I would not get a device rated at 100w because I usually vape at 85w.
So on that device, I'd need to increase it to 96w (assuming 20% inaccuracy). 96w is too close to the device's limit. It's like constantly driving your car at 8000 rpm lol.

I'd like to vape at 50 to 75% of a mod's maximum output.

I have over 60 mods, only 3 that have at least one thing I don't like about them.
(we won't even begin to talk about the Sigelei Fuchai 213 even though I own 6 of them)
That one minor complaint is all I had on the original Tarot.
As I said, it is a good solid feeling mod that just works.
I assure you it won't stop me from buying what I'm going to call the black and silver ones.
Most generally when I find a mod I like, I buy all color options of it.
Odds are, I'll stick to just those two.
However there are 9 other mods I have to order before those.
Didn't intend to make it sound like I had any real complaints on it.
If you want a complaint, we'll talk about the GooCig Ares box and it's shit for a screen.

The IJOY LUX has this same setting capability.
I knew I had another one that did it and it was bothering me I couldn't remember what one.
Coincidently it is the one I am using as I post this.

Hahaha

But seriously, one flaw so far:

it doesn't state battery voltage or percentage on main screen.
The RX200s states battery percentage on main screen.
You can access each battery voltage through a combination of button presses.
The Fuchai 213 reads battery voltage/percentage in real time.

The tarot pro decided to remain in the apocalyptic year of 1996.

I have to say. The ability to wattage set by half second is amazing.

Put on a different RDA? No problem. 10 seconds later you have a new wattage/time profile.

I don't own any DNA devices and haven't researched any of them.
However based on all I read in here on them, I think these settings the Tarot and LUX have would fall similarly into the same as the DNA capabilities.
I could be mistaken though.
Maybe someone who has both could verify.
I've been considering a DNA device just so I could also be able to help answer a few questions people come up with but my lack of research has limited my desire.
I don't want to spend $100 on one just for that purpose and can't say I'd enjoy spending 15 minutes customizing the settings with each tank change but since I don't own one I suppose I can't say that for certain.

Get a DNA, see for your self...
Dude I've been buying all kinds of mods before, just like a lot of vapers here in VU... then I got myself a DNA 200 mod, I sold all my non DNA mods, ignored non DNA mods..for me
Once you go DNA, you never look back IMO...
Btw you gonna need a PC!

Two things;
1. Even if I managed to get my hands on the absolutely greatest mod even dreamt up, I'd still never sell or get rid of any of my other hardware.
I'd find it difficult to continue to consider myself a collector if I started selling my stuff. lol
2. Having a PC isn't an issue. I build them, among many other things.

I'm all for checking one or two out, just a matter of picking the right one.
Since I haven't put for any effort to actually research them, I have no clue what one to get.
Considering vaping is my relaxation time so I don't want to sped a lot of time configuring it, I've delayed (procrastinated) getting one or researching what one would be good for me.
I'm considering researching one of the 75's to use with my SMOK TFV4 Micro since I use it at 55 watts and it is one of my most used tanks.
In addition I have 7 of them so I wouldn't be limiting myself any.
There's the whole nano thing or not nano.... I dunno.
I'm open to suggestions but probably not on this particular thread, I'm sure the OP had other plans for it. lol

I don't know of any other board that will change wattage in half second intervals like the OP said about the Tarot. You can add a preheat to current DNA mods but ONLY in TC mode unless you trick it with a Kanthal TCR. In power mode the DNA's do not have a preheat feature.

The real strength of DNA mods is in TC, this is were there accuracy really shines. There fine power mods as well but that is not there strength as far as customizing is concerned.

I know the Lost Vapes DNA mods come set-up out of the box to use, don't need to hook it up to escribe if you don't want to. Other DNA mods come with just the basic escribe profile and you have to setup your batteries and a few other things for them to work there best. I just remembered my SMY SDNA75 mod comes setup to go right away as well, really nice mod if you are ok with a single 18650 and can be had for about $45.

If your into TC then a DNA would definitely be a good buy and there are some you can get on the cheap, I got my Hcigar VT75 for $50 and love it.

Not to dissuade you from getting a dna mod but i have to say this. Having bought my first dna device, i expected my vape to improve dramatically when i did. It somewhat did but not entirely worth the $100 price tag.

That said, I bought the lavabox m since i really loved how the original lavabox looked. And i wanted to try out a dna device. So i pulled the trigger on it.

Overall, i do enjoy my new dna device. And I love how awesome it looks. My other devices wont fire my builds well in tc mode but the lavabox m does and it does it very well indeed. And i guess thats enough justification for the price i spent on it, it just wouldve been a lot more of a value if it was priced around the $70 range instead of $100.

My advice, as previous posts suggest here is to try a well-priced dna device first such as a $50 dna75. Then if you like it, go ahead a splurge on a dna mod that you really, really want. Be it a 75, a 133 or a 200.

I have seen them from some US online stores for close to the same price as gearworst. Even then I would gladly pay 20% more to have the items I order 3 weeks sooner than gearworst, fasttech and 3fvape kick there ass for chinese vendors.

IDK I've placed 1 order with each of those sites and all 3 were pretty much the same for me. got my items in 2-3 weeks with no issues. i do prefer US sellers though if price is close

3fvape ships epacket which is generally 8 to 15 days with $15 and over purchases. Fasttech gives you the option to select epacket. Gearworst they don't give an option on most items and it is usually Netherlands post or something like that, my last 2 orders from them took 25 and 29 days.

If they would just offer an option to choose epacket service I would order from them.

So the only complaint you have about the original Tarot is that it doesn't hit as hard as other mods? But in terms of build quality and other stuff, how does it stack up? I haven't heard much about it, and am curious. Mind giving a quick little mini-review of your opinion? :)
