Nicotine tolerance

Is it normal for the body to want stronger nicotine levels?
I went from vaping 0mg to 3mg, now 3mg doesn't seem like much.
Maybe I need to put away the 3mg stuff and go back to 0 for a wee bit.

I went from 36 - shit you not, I blame the tobacco shop that set me up with my first ego device when I very first started - stepped down eventually to 6. Vaped at six for about a year, moved back up to 12mg to satiate my nicotine needs. Been comfy vaping 12mg, MTL, with a 50-50 ratio on low wattage ever since.

So, I'd say yes. Purely anecdotal, but if you're looking for confirmation bias, you got it. ;)

*Most* people seem to need less and less, even if they have no plans to lower it or get rid of it. The fact that sometimes some people need to go up a bit, I think, just indicates that their body isn't ready to do without a certain amount of it, and perhaps they decreased it too fast.

@CashNVape - you said that 3mg "doesn't seem like too much" -- but does it seem like ENOUGH? That's the real key. Because 3mg ISN'T very much. Depending on a lot of factors, it might or might not be ENOUGH for some people. I'm currently at 3.3mg, but I've taken over 2 yrs to get here. If it's just the TH that you're wanting more of, you can get that with FlavourArt's Flash additive, and higher PG, without needing to increase the nicotine.

to be honest if you weren't using nicotine, no reason to use it now. Your kinda going in the wrong direction lol. We try to use less and less. I started with 24MG then went down to 18MG then 12MG then I started sub homing and moved down to 6MG and now I'm at 3MG

In that case, it may be too much. Personally, I consider nausea A Fate Worse Than Death; the only thing worse is vomiting! :giggle: That's why I never could use more than 10mg; when I first started, the shop recommended 18mg, and it made me HORRIBLY sick. So I tried 12mg; did the same thing, just took a little longer. When I got some 6mg, I was able to start vaping regularly, and once I ditched the smokes completely, I gradually worked up to 10mg. But since then, I've worked my way back down -- last winter, went down to 5mg to see if that helped with my "popsicle paws" problem (it did!); stayed at 5mg for some months, but after all the caca hit the blades from the FDA 8/8, I decided to work on down to 3mg, to make my nic stash last longer. No plans to go lower than 3mg; one grandmother had geriatric dementia, one had Alzheimers, so I figure I'll keep a low level of nic to try and keep my marbles where they belong.

I honestly miss that buzz I got from smoking one cig. I figured 3mg would do it, however I have been dropping the nicotine ejuice in a tank and I end up just vaping that and that my friends is what is making me sick.

so time to change up I'll use the ejuice with nicotine in a RDA, and zero MG ejuice in my tanks. problem solved.

I figured this out earlier while waiting to pick up the kids from school I was vaping my tank with caramel Waffle Cappuccino 3mg and started feeling woozy and sick.

Yeah, you won't get a "buzz" from vaping; it's delivered too slowly to the brain, compared to smoking. But, it also doesn't cause cancer, so that's a real win. :D You can get a buzz from other stuff that's far less dangerous than smoking tobacco.

yeah I recently decided alki isn't for me. I enjoyed it far too much. one beer every now and than is OK but that's it. every now and than means once a month.

as. for vaping and a buzz oh I def feel a buzz come on but it is not the same as smoking. eh ill just do what I have planned and drip the nic ejuice and use tanks for flav vaping.

in the last few months I have used vaping as a way to diet and it has worked, I have lost 39lbs! just in under 2 months. feel so much better, can fit in all my old clothes lol

That's fabulous! I lost weight at first, but I had already been on a post-holidays diet for a month, so it was probably just the momentum from that. Once my sense of taste started coming back, OMG, everything tasted so good -- I remember, after I'd been smoke-free and vaping for a couple months, I was cooking bacon one morning; got a bit of grease on my fingers while taking it up, so naturally I licked them -- and I was like OMG! BACON NEVER TASTED THAT GOOD BEFORE!!! :giggle:

Sadly though, I can't tolerate italian sausage anymore; I used to love it, but now it just tastes... I dunno... Gamey? Something strong and unpleasant.

Had an asthma checkup at the doc today; last time, I was just under 145, about 143 I think. Now it's 146 and 3/4. I really need to lose about 12-15 lbs, but since I passed about 45-ish, it's so damn hard. Weight used to fall off me if I skipped a meal, now it's a real chore.

Well I realized I'm gonna have to take my nic down to about 1.5. I've been vaping 3mg for a long time but with this alien/baby beast combo, I'm getting nic drunk LOL!!! :teehee:
