are you using the RBA deck or the premade coils? the RBA deck needs cotton to be added. it comes with preinstalled coils. The premade coils don't need more cotton. pics would be great

Thats the RBA deck. You need to dry fire first to remove hot spots then wick it. The coils are replaceable and you keep using the deck. unlike the other coils which are throwaways and you buy more

Then for now you should use the pre-made coils until you learn about rebuildable decks

What @SirRichardRear was saying is you should not be using the rba deck. Use the premade coilheads for your tfv8. Should have got at least 1 with the tank (if purchased brand new). They are ready to use after priming the cotton with juice. Save the rba deck until you know more about building. It is a self-service piece of equipment.
The premade coilheads have cotton already in them. Youtube search how to prime them properly. Or they will burn out.

It's a great choice. Has lots of coil options. U just need to use the pre-made coils for it.

i did get 1 but i read that this current coil or engine or whatever its called is a better choice for bigger clouds and more flavour so i would like to use that

Then after you get comfortable vaping, then worry about the rebuildable deck.
Building can be super easy. Just not a good way to "start" vaping. So keep that rebuildable deck for when you are ready to start building.
For now, just use the premade coils and keep vaping for a while.
I exclusively use rebuildable stuff. But I started with premade coils. And would guess everyone else in here did too. Rebuildables let you customize how your device vapes. But, ya gotta crawl before you can walk.
Vape your premade coilheads. Research building. And enjoy.

Honestly I think some of it is dick waving. The pre-made smok coils can challenge most people's builds. Epically the tf-t8 and they have some new tf-t10 coils I purchased and haven't triedi did get 1 but i read that this current coil or engine or whatever its called is a better choice for bigger clouds and more flavour so i would like to use that

Trust me, I don't build and I get huge massive clouds on the prebuilt coils. You would greatly benefit from just using those until you gain more knowledge on building. Have fun and blow big clouds buddy
