Setting firing limit DNA75.

Hi everyone.

Yesterday, I was doing some last minute christmas shopping, and felt some heat coming from my inside jacket pocket. I removed the mod, a SDNA75, and it was not locked, and the tank was hot- it must of fired in my pocket, and it was my mistake for not locking it.

My only question is, I notice if I hold down the fire button, after say 10 seconds, no auto cut off happens to stop the mod from firing, it can just fires continuously. I hadn't noticed this before as it is the first time I have had a mod fire in my pocket (Knowingly, at least).

I can't see in Escribe where to change this, if anyone can point me to the right area this would be a big help.

I do usually always lock my devices before they got in my pocket, but yesterday something must of distracted me while I was putting it away, and I would like to put a cut off of say 6 seconds just in case I ever make a mistake again in future.

Thank you all, Conan.

glad to hear that nothing to bad resulted, lucky that.
Thank you- it is the first time I have knowingly done this though out of a lot of mods and a couple of years vaping. It was my mistake for forgetting to lock the mod, I must of been speaking or not paying full attention when I put it away.

Do you have any idea where this is in Escribe to put a limit in place? Only as most of my other mods have a firing limit in place already.

There IS a 'Time Limit' setting under the RESEARCH tab - (mine is disabled) - assuming that that will cut out in 10 or 15 secs once enabled.

edit: oh and just a thought I usually set the default power setting to something like 50 watts from 200 for power mode .. in case the TC mode defaults down to power (as it will sometimes do)

Ahh thank you- that is probably why I did not notice it, I did not think it would be under research.

I will load up windows in a minute and give it a try . I do have the wattage turned down across all 8 profiles in case this happens on my DNA200's and 75's, I have found since SP3 (I know SP5 is out now) though that I haven't been kicked out of TC mode using SS 316L :).

well thats cool.. nice to have stuff work the way it's supposed to.. me I'm still having issues with SS coils going all 'limp' .. have to take the coil off fire the mod without a coil then put it back on and it works... strange.. haven't yet delved into it too far... have two vt133's and two vt75's and they all seem to do it.. starting to be a hassle .. ;p thinking I will reset them all and reload from scratch as they all have dif setups I think. 'nuff of my probs haha.. glad to help with the settings... they def did move them around to be 'less' intuitive I think. ;p
