Hi i just started vaping this black friday. My wife forced me to a vape shop and they had the cuboid mini with a bottle of juice for 29.99 so i got it. Figured its worth a shot and i loved it. However recently i bought a new tank the freemax starre and omg so much better loving the flavor and hit. So my question is what is a good mod that i can run at higher wattage and not worry about the battery dieing so quickly? Currently using the cuboid mini battery with starre tank running 40w for like 12hrs before it dies.

That is pretty good battery life right there. You could buy a triple 18650 battery mod. Do you understand battery safety? Have a good charger?

I have a few iJoy LUX mods, which use two 26650 batteries, I believe they have the longest battery life of any mods I own, including the triple 18650 mods. It really depends on the power your using. If you stayed at 40 watts a triple 18650 would last longer than 12 hrs if you were not chain vaping.

I want to run at higher wattage down the road. I am what my wife says is a falvor chaser lol. The starre tank is so good and i want more vape and flavor production and was told running at higher watts with a baby beast tank would give me that hit and flavor i want. But my battery i currently have wont last long at 60+watts. I have read about battery safety and i do not have any batteries or charger. Will have to buy everything.

Tons of options. Would consider a device that takes separate 18650 batteries so you can recharge the batteries separate from the mod and always have a backup set of batteries.

As far as which one, it depends. If you think you will wanna vape at 40w, or other similar "lower" wattage, really any mod will do, and 1 battery mods will probably suffice for you. Price point to price point, they will basically do the same thing (essentially).

If you think you wanna go higher in wattage in the future, i would get a 2 battery mod. Can cook at higher wattage, and the batteries last longer (since there are 2) than a single battery mod. Benefit even at 40 watts. If you buy a mod that can fire 200 watts, doesn't mean you cant fire it at 40 watts.

Has been reliable for me. Have a couple. I like it. And it is cheap enough that if i break it I will not cry. Has a pretty comfortable fit in my hand and really like the "panel" style fire button more than the "button" style fire button.

Not exactly a "premium" mod, but solid just the same. Doesn't have the best TC, if that even interests you anyway. I keep to wattage mode mostly anyway.

Really like my Smok Aliens right now. Pretty good TC, handles a bigger atomizer, pretty cool looking, very ergonomic.

Ok thanks everyone for all the info. Think i will get the istick 100w a charger and 2 batteries then if it breaks well hey just buy a new mod instead of charger port and batteries again. Ya i prefer wattage mode.

Very generous of you. And I recommend paying forward unused items. And I have done just that many times. However, with you as a new vaper I would build up my collection before paying it forward. Gotta have a backup. Or a dozen.

Then, yes, please pay it forward so someone can get off tobacco.

Please remember to ALWAYS have backups for backups.....

Some of us have enough backups to open a vape shop, but it's really a good idea to have two or three mods and tanks. Never know when something is going to take a dump.

If you learn to build your own coils you'll save a ton of money.

The first cut is the deepest. Once you have a charger and a few sets of batteries, every subsequent purchase seems a lot cheaper.

You may not "wanna" spend more than $75 on this type of purchase. But, in 3 months, you will not miss the additional $25 +/- you had to spend. But you will be much happier with what you have. Never fails.

Can get an alien for like $50, dual charger for $15, and set of batteries for about $12 depennding on what batteries you want. Right around your $75.

I don't have an Alien mod that BK mentioned, some folks love the mod. I've heard others say the paint was flalking off after a very short period of time. Most iJoy Joyetech Eleaf mods are decent....I haven't had any problems whatsoever.

And don't just get the alien cuz I threw it out there. The istick100 is good too. Plus a good bit cheaper. Plenty of good mods out there. Keep an eye out for sales. And check vaporjoes deals page. Should be some great deals between now and the first. Seems every holiday all year is the best time to buy.

I would avoid the istick 100. The 510 pin is wonky and has a problem with dropping down inside the mod. it is basically pressed into place (like the wheel bearing on a car, if you are familiar) but if it pops down, there isn't much you can do with it, you never get it back the way it was.
Now, I use the ijoy asolo 200w, Maybe that is more power than you want or more money, but what i like about it, is that the 510 connector has 2 raised rings around it, which makes it a lot harder for juice to get into the mod. I think they are like $50 on fasttech. Im just tossing that as a suggestion because of the 510 connector, ejuice in those connectors is a pain in the butt. The other thing is.. if you are only running a coil at say 20 to 30w.. those 2 cells in the ijoy are going to last quite a long time. Nitecore is a very good and inexpensive charger. There is one that I heard of that is better, but also more expensive, though I can't remember the name.
Stick to sony, samsung or lg batteries. Other brands are re-rewrapped and rebranded factor 2nds or just plain made in china garbage batteries. But unless they are sony,lg or samsung, you have no way of knowing what is inside the cell. Personally, I would rather spend an extra $5 or so for batteries that I KNOW are good.

Now, I use the ijoy asolo 200w

Read that and thought you meant the Ijoy Solo mod. *grin* I looked at those once as a possible purchase when I still used regulated mods. As it is now, I would need to find a moderately priced regulated squonking mod. Not sure even an RTA could suffice drawing me from RDA use. :)

Thanks for all the advice. I ended up getting the G-Priv with the Big Baby Beast 2 LG HG2 batteries a efest soda charger and 2 60 ml bottles of juice at my local vape shop for $80 they had a great Christmas sale. So far I'm loving it! Using the .20 coil at 75 watts great battery life all around a big improvement.

nice rig. Good choice on the batteries too. It doesn't happen often, but batteries can go pop even in a regulated mod. Only saw it happen once, and the person was using good batteries so they only vented. Good thing considering he was wearing shorts and the mod was in his pocket next to his filberts at the time.
