Need more info. What device/mod are using using it with?

So, after 11 seconds it fired and you got vapor?
Does it do that Every time?

What for coils are in it?

Cheers for reply I've had this answered in a different group it was the coils clapton ones that are pre built into it that comes with tfv8 cloud beast when I tested them and fired them for hot spots it was taking 11 seconds before heating up I done everything properly apart from using my smok alien to test it instead of my geek vape ohms reader I carried on and strummed the coils to take away the hot spot at 11 seconds but had to stop firing mod cuts off there was lots of answers to what it could be and I think the coil was touching the leg pin and heating that instead of coils when I moved it a little and turned the what's up and re wicked dry fired dripped and vaped it got better tp around 5 seconds I kept chain vaping keeping coils hot now it fires in about 4 which is still not good luckily I'd just bought anothr cloud beast so had another to try I tried that one was completely different it fired straight away and glowed fast middle to ends no hot spots just needed wicking so I took the other as just faulty this might not be the case so if u have any ideas let me know couple questions can the cloud beast rba take different wire coils to clapton and can you have different coil layouts instead of the pre built dual in the v8 rba like a quad coil or single and Im at my partners so don't have my tester but do have rx300 maxo315 smok alien and h priv vaporesso tarot pro and limitless lmc is one of these better for testing coils on oh and it did read true the coils ohm and I had made sure ot was tight enough one more on the cloud beast Im using alien atm usually vape the maxo great mod that especially with the quad batteries like the rx anyways I'm using the v8 t10 coils with a range from 50-300watts but the mods only dual battery and I vape 38 amps and use lg he4 batteries I know they can handle the volt and watts just wondering if they can deal with the amps per battery when at 160wa 38amps 4.8 v

at 160 watts you are at about 21.6 amps on the battery. for 20 amp batteries like the HE4 it's best to stay at 150 watts or lower. If you wanted to go higher you can use 185 watts with 25 amp batteries like the sony VCT5a
Ohms law isn't the correct formula to use to calculate amp draw on batteries in a regulated mod the correct formula is P(watts)/V(nominal battery voltage)=I (amps)

there are no 35 amp batteries. the highest is LG HB6 at 30 amps but they have lo capacity (1500mah) most people use 20 amp batts in their mods like the samsung 30q or LG HG2. sony makes the VCT5a now which is a 25 amp battery with 2600mah. I'm not 100% sure but i believe those quad boxes run parallel sets of series circuits. so you would have (say using a 20 amp battery like the Samsung 30Q) 8.4 volts on a full charge (7.4 nominal for calcualtions) and 6000mah and 30 amp limit (amp rating times 1.5 for parallel) so about 220 watts max with 20 amp batteries. if you used a 25 amp battery you could go 275 watts.

with that said you should always use married sets so your maxo should have it's own set of 4 married batteries that you use separate from your pair of LG HE4s for your dual mod

I'm pretty new to rbas I never liked the sound I always just thought good quality sub ohm tanks had good quality coils and I never thought I could build my own to clean vspe aswell as say v8 t10 my favourite coil for cloud beast high watts low resistance vapes smooth as out even the high end of its ability not to hot but warm just nice and clouds are beauty flavours spot on to any ways I used the geek vape eagle subohm tank with rbas a couple of months back and found it decent I have also used mod father rta with quad coils unreal vape but I haven't made many of my own rba and coils I'm wondering if with the cloud beast can you change it other than the dual pre made coils it comes with if I could make low ohms rba quad preferably for my cloud beast it would be my best everyday vape I don't really know what's what when it comes to rbas I've just winged it up to now I know enough for basics to get started with them what does the different type of wire do and cotton and what's the best type of rba to make for both cloud n flavour

When I bought mine I had a similar issue. Check to make sure the base of the deck is screwed in tight. Mine was loose and it increased my resistance by about .2, which is crazy since I average around .17 on my builds. Make sure the grub screws are tight as well. You might be arcing in the posts and losing power to the coils.

As for batteries, I use mxjo 30A 3000mAh. RX2/3 with three batteries at around 110W with dual parallel coils. Anything higher and I burn my cotton.

Wire use for coils depends on what you want. Kanthal A1 is a go to for many and is strictly VV/VW (variable voltage/variable wattage aka power mode.) Then you have Stainless steel in different styles used for all options TC/VV/VW. Nickle, Nichrome, and Titanium (to my knowledge) are all strictly TC(temp control.)

My cotton preference is Native Wicks. I've used cotton bacon v2 and found that all to often I got a new cotton taste. Not a very good thing to taste when you just built a new setup. Japanese cotton works wonders and still a go to if I can get my hands on it.

As far as builds and deck types for clouds, well that's all up for debate. Depends on the mod, build deck (rda, rta, rdta, etc), coils (both wire type and build design (singles, parallels, claptons, staple, transformer, etc)), juice and most importantly the vaper themselves. It's all hit and miss, trial and error. You have to find what works for you.

Few things. Your batteries are not 30 amp. They are not good batteries at all. If you aren't using samsung lg or Sony might as well throw them out. Nichrome is a power mode wire only. Not for temp control

As for the wire, that's why I said to my knowledge. I don't mess with temp control so I stick to Kanthal A1.

If you find a REAL and safe 35 amp 18650, please let me know so I can buy them ALL.
Todays battery technology is NOT capable of such.
What you have there is a mixture of false advertisement and trying to use max pulse rate as a CDR.
That is actually 19 amp.

Lol so you believe the rating of a rewrapped battery made by who knows what company as the real rating. Sorry man but no.

Well based on his chart, the chart makers are wrong. I'm hitting 24.4A CONTINUOUSLY at 110A. I mean, don't get me wrong, yeah, there are complaints about the battery. But there are plenty of good reviews to follow. Just because you got faulty ones or the ones they tested didn't hold up, doesn't mean they didn't get better.

Real rating

am setting a CDR of 15A-20A for this cell. Its temperature is too high at 20A to give it that rating. While operating any cell near its rated maximum current causes damage to the cell, I would expect decent cycle life from this cell at 15A-20A

Have you at least checked the authenticity of those MXJO's? You can do that on their site.

Amazing how people buy re-wraps that lie about ratings and try to defend them saying the testing is wrong. SMFH
Authenticity check shows they are all official batteries. Watching people bash on someone's decision shows that this is still an immature community and one I won't be part of. That's some dumb shit to act as if your opinion is superior to my experience. God complex from the dead... That's sad.

Opinion backed by testing/fact is truth. So is being an immature low self esteem baby who's feelings get hurt and they need to defend shit opinions because there not enough of a man to say oops I'm wrong and I learned something and am better for it. Your unsubstantiated opinion is only worth what it cost....NOTHING. I'm going away now because I like to deal with grownup's have a nice day.

Authenticty in this case means absolutely nothing as these are rewraps, it just means they were rewrapped by that company and not someone else.
Buying rewraps means being misinformed about the actual product specs, receiving a battery of varying quality and origin in most case inferior and paying more for it then the actual battery that is inside the new wrap.
Bashing on someone for making the wrong decision and insisting that he's right makes a lot of sense.
In this case Angry's opinion is superior to your experience.

Wasn't hearing up to 11 seconds? What does that mean? The Rba works perfect on the cloud beats! Never heard of that before.

Its amazing how people with experience and have been into vaping, been members of forums, had tons of discussions about this shit, read everything they could from guys like Mooch and other testers, experts, and innovators, get attacked for helping, giving advise with our apparent "god-like" attitude.

I have been vaping since 2007/2008. I guess I dont know shit either. Hmm maybe vaping makes you stupid? No, dont think so. Dry knuckles maybe.

You can blame these people for thinking or believing the shit they see and hear. Companies lying about what their batteries can handle, shops selling mechs to the unexperienced without explaining the dangers or pointing them in the right direction to learn these things and to weed out the horseshit.

BUT, I blame them for not heeding or blowing off the advise from the experienced.

What ever. What the fuck do we know.
