Hello there!! I just got my Avocado 24. I'm new to building. My experience is some Claptons in a velocity v2. Im running dual ,38 tiger coils at around 45- 50w. After my second vape the top cap/drip tip is unbearably hot. I've tried switching drip tips, but it was worse. Any ideas, or help? Please....drop some knowledge on me....

in a small chamber like that, the coils are very close to everything and will transfer heat. I'd suggest building smaller coils and seeing if that is better for you

Sorry for the noob questions....the few coils that I've used, their prebuilt ones I bought from the local shop here. I plan I building from scratch soon. When you say smaller? Do you mean not tiger wire? Simpilar? Less wraps?......what do you recommend? I have some ,8 claptons.....would those be better?

Would I be better off with single coil?

You have to take a little more care when you mount bigger coils on the avocado, get them as snug as possible to the posts and dont mount them high, you dont want them on the deck obviously but you wont them kinda low. I run dual aliens or dual fused on mine and with my coils tight to the post and low I get great flavor and vapor with manageable heat as long as im not chain vaping

I thought I did a pretty good job mounting them . I'm at work now, but I'll try to post a pic when I get home....
