You could always get a triple 18650 mod and get the same capacity and probably smaller footprint. I would personally go in that direction since I only vape in TC and the best 186560's are better and easier to get than the best 26650's (battery makers pour their R&D into 18650's). Either that or get a dual 18650 mod and carry a spare set of 18650's. Here's a picture of two very good dual 18650 mods with 2 very good triple 18650 mods.

It's only half battery life. The other half is 30mm tanks. Not all triple 18650 mods can handle them. The triad finder and vt250 all do but most dont. Even the quad battery ones don't. A dual 26650 mod guarentees it'll handle 30mm tanks pretty much

Actually 26650 batteries are getting better everyday. Ijoy and Hohmtech have made some really nice advances with those cells. Rumor has it though that this is going to be the next big vaping cell. Mooch and a few others have said they are making real headway with the new 20700's.

Steve, those take 30mm tanks without overhang?
I'm not sure about that since I don't use anything bigger than 25mm tanks. I was looking at it more from the point of battery capacity since it was mentioned in a post or two above mine that it was the only mod that could be vaped at 100 watts without needing a battery change. I do know the soon to be released Yihi G Class is supposed to have a 30mm 510 plate but that's going to be $200+

I'm kinda hooked on the 30mm Modfather attys, DAMN I love those tanks, flavor like a dripper and holds about 10ml of juice with the regular glass.

Thanks for the info.
I already have a couple dual 18650 mods. The triple battery thing just throws me a bit, I would have to buy 3 sets of batteries to have them married correctly without one just hanging out somewhere, and I would need a new 4 sled charger (I only have a 2).
I have been looking at the gx300 as an alternative though, but again with the charger. Thus my reasoning for a dual 26650. I like to build on the low side so the .06ohm is a must and the fact that it holds a 30mm RDA is just icing. The exo which is the same thing would be nice but can't find that anywhere. Just to bad there aren't more to choose from.

Those iJoy 26650's blow my mind.....!

I have a few MNKE 26650's for a mech squonker, there is no comparison in battery life.

That's what Mooch says. Supposedly they perform very much like an 18650.

Jack, did Mooch mention which company actually manufactures the iJoy batteries?

Since I have two Triades and they have a very good balanced 2 amp charging board, I just charge them in the mod. When one is empty, I just plug it in and grab the other one. I get what you are saying though. Good Luck on whatever you get!

I've heard good things about the Modfather. The thing is I have a lot of tanks (at least 5 still unopened) and as you know I'm very happy with my Supremes both in size and capacity. If I was to get a 30mm tank and liked it. It would overhang most of my mods and make all my 22-25mm attys useless, we can't have that (I'm half kidding and half serious about the last part :teehee:)

Steve

He hasn't however hohmtech did mention it in the g2 thread here. Shouldn't be hard to find as they only have like 10 posts total

I mostly use 25mm attys now. I use my 23mm Supreme Lites on a few mods that are smaller and a Billow V2.5 that's 24mm at the base and 25 in the glass section. I still have my 22mm attys but they really don't get used anymore. I can't bring myself to getting rid of them though.

Honestly, I don't recall. I do know Hohmtech is using a company in Indonesia. Like I said though, supposedly once these 20700 batteries become more common they are basically going to replace 18650's. That's what a lot of reviewers are saying.

No, I wouldn't say that. I'm sure 18650's will always be around in some form or another. That being said, if they can improve performance and safety with a minimal size difference then I'm all for it. I love to see advancements in those areas and trying different things.

If drastic changes don't come with regard to the FDA, batteries won't make much difference.....:(

I'm just pulling your chain lol. I wouldn't mind seeing small mods with more battery life. If they can get 25 amp 3500mah out of a battery slightly bigger then an 18650 I'm all for itm sadly moochs test on that Sanyo said it was only 15 amp and ran hot.

18650's are used in everything. I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon. The Vape market is just a small niche market compared to the overall scheme of things. That's why most of the R&D goes into 18650's.

True but in all fairness we could apply that theory to every subject we talk about here.

Just a bit of advice from another LUX owner.... Keep it clean and watch your juice on the device. Mine has moisture/juice under the screen glass, and it doesn't go away. I can still see the screen, but the moisture is annoying.

The button thing is common. Mine does it too, and I think it's from the button design. You have to get a positive contact to make it fire. You have to make sure you are pressing the button flat across the surface.

I would recommend buying Bassin batteries, as I have a set and they are much better than the IJOY batteries that I also have.
I got a deal on my lux and batteries, it was 130$ for both and Idk what kind they are they are orange if that helps haha Prolly not

True, but with the collection I've accumulated, I really don't care anymore. Just feel sorry for the folks trying to quit smoking.

I picked up the lux today at my favorite b&m for $65. I freaking love the vw user mode. It was almost fully charged when I got it so I'm gonna drain it down and charge it. Then see how long it lasts me.

I've been using brillipower in my Slice. Battery life is amazing. Also have some MXJOs and they are not even close. We will not talk Efests. Battery tests for the brillipower ranked them quite high.

it's easy to pop the metal outer layer off and clean the bottom of the Lux's screen, just pop out a couple screws and wipe down. Be mindful of the buttons, especially the little +/- on top, as they'll drop out if you're not careful and anything vape parts are very good at finding a way to disappear forever when they fall to the floor.
