Anyone have this issue with the Invader III?

Using a set of lg he2 and on the spot beneath the tank it is extremely tight, even though the spring contact us slightly more recessed than on the other side. It is a pita to get the one batt in and is tearing my wraps on the negative contact!

Is there any trick to getting it to go in easier and not rip wraps?

Thanks in advance!

I have two Invader III's.. I noticed the same thing with the Silver / Grey one when I first got it. I found by taking little extra care and laying the box down with battery openning up and then making sure you don't angle the battery too much when putting in , it will push in slightly easier. Still a tight fit no doubt. The second one I have is the Blue / Teal and it seems little better But yea those batteries are in there tight ! I love having the two , simple to use and no 510 issues like my Reuleaux 200S which crapped out in about 3 months.
Hope it helps.

Right on.

Yeah mine is the silver. Ill try and be more careful. Oh well I needed a single batt for one of my mods and the other with the dinged casing will go to my coilmaster tab.

Sucks on the 200s, I actually just got one because of an impulse buy during a sale. Hoping it doesn't shit the bed too soon. I have noticed that this 510 is even shallower than the old rx200 I had. All of my tanks don't sit flush and also have a gnarly wobble. I cut a small piece of foam to use as a gap protector and that helps with the wobble.

I have another (blue) invader coming in an order from elegomall, I couldn't resist at the $20 price tag...

$20. ! Sweet... like I said just a little extra care to put batteries in and your good to go...
Get some battery sleeves and re-wrap those slightly damaged ones. Thats a fairly easy task also..my biggest problem was running the hair dryer cause I'm "folically" challenged. Most people say I'm bald !! LOL
