Well .. the Variant clone is in production, but even that one is not going to be cheap. Psmoke pulled their pre-sales listings for it because they have a crap ton of unsold Gi2 clones that they desperately need to unload. They fear that if they release the Variant clone before they unload the excess Gi2 stock that they will never get rid of it.

Clone manufacturers need to understand that those who buy clones are not usually in the market for $150 plus devices. A $200 clone is not going to sell in great #'s, doesn't matter that its a 1:1.

I don't know Andre, there's a bunch on ebay that aren't selling except for around $735 - $750. I feel like they kinda burned us when they said they were only making a relatively small amout of these, but there's tons of them. Most shops haven't even sold out. And its like they made the clone at the same damn time almost.... ugh.

Ahaha .. well, they are selling the body separate from the battery, and the charger. You have to order and pay of each piece, the wholesale price for all three pieces together is $150 .. I repeat wholesale

The wholesale price will drop once it hits home that no one is buying it .. Not many are going to drop $225 for a clone with a lipo battery, when they can get an upgradeable authentic like the SX Mini for $190

I've vaped the Variant on numerous occasions. My response is simply....

They will not be the last to make a 250w box. My max is 180, and with step down, you do NOT stay at 180w for very long. Not to mention, no matter how deep your juice well is...you WILL be re-dripping every third pull. What I can afford is based more on common sense than my chequing acct balance. I can afford one...but what is the point beyond the "hey look what I have that you cannae afford" factor, which is at best, infantile.

Welp .. shortly I will be able to see if there is anyway to justify the $200 clone, which may be impossible even if the clone is stunning. But it may turn out to be one for buyers of high end devices that felt that the Vari Ant was over the top in pricing?

The "potential" is there for this clone to actually be better than the authentic, namely because the Variant clone is using a chip with a flat DC signal, and is not pulse width modulated like the authentic. That in and of itself is a huge improvement .. But this clone is a bit of a mash up because it is in part a clone of the Slim V1 (the SS, not Titanium) which was only 120 W (much better). The clone by Limwell/Psmoke is 260W, which is exceeds even the Slim Titanium.

If the build quality is at least as good as Limwell's prior offerings (Kato Square Box, Gi2, Semovar) , and the chip is as good as their cloned Nivel chip, then this clone may genuinely be better than the authentic Variant Slim V1.

I got to try out a authentic Variant slim yesterday. Great looking but for the money I wasn't impressed at all, over priced and to small of a lipo cell. If I need to go over 100 watts, I'll stick with my 20a,120w, Naos Raptor dual 18650, 26650 builds.

Oh you lucky man! .. For everyone clone that I review it would be a dream to have the authentic to do a comparison. But even without holding/using the authentic, I would not be impressed with the PWM, and I am still beyond shocked by how many people were willing to drop that kind of cash for a large PWM device. What was Vicious Ant thinking?

Wow, $700 is a authentic nemesis with a KFL, a zombie and a plume, batteries, wire and wick for a year and a few bucks saved. I can't see spending anything over the $150 range for anything china and that would have to blow my socks off to the point of secretions.

If you make it, someone will buy it. I could buy an IMI modified BMW with 700Hp, but I won't because I live in a northern climate and prefer to get around in winter, so I have a Ford F250. I can also haul my camper with the truck, but not with a tricked out BMW.

The point is that really expensive vape gear is nothing more than really expensive vape gear, there are always alternatives. The days are coming to an end where mod makers spin metal tubes and put a 510 connector on it with a nice switch and charge $250.

For $700 I want a 4G smart phone coupled with the PV with a universal remote control for my entertainment systems plus Super HD video capabilities. Bluetooth and Wi-fi - Yep, better be part of the package.

I think it was called the eclipse. It was a
VV box mod bottom feeder that would feed the juice to the Atty as you vaped. I think they wanted about 400 for it but at the time it was innovative and very unique. I wanted one but I was going to wait for reviews. It was recalled and the people who got it got their money back. I still think it was a cool idea.

Let me say this, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! This product is CRAP!!! Although, when paired with a good coil and the batteries DO charge, I works great. This machine runs off of RC car batteries, the standard charger for it has horrible problems with shorts and blow outs.

The box, although it has great functions, and is operator friendly, does not hold a charge, and after the battery hits 50% charge, it stop workin altogether. Every time you hit the button under 50% charge, the machine sucks 10%-15% battery charge instantly. I don't know if the real box works the same, but the only way they will sell, is if vicious ant puts a NO REFUND/RETURN policy on every unit.

I've had my authentic Ti for a few months now, and while I believe even at the $700 I paid, I feel it is not worth quite that. Mostly because they made many more than I thought were originally.

However, this device is probably the best device I own (and I have a lot) in terms of quality and craftsmanship. True, it does have a slow battery drain when powered down, and my batteries only charge to 90%, but that's because I was a noob with Lipo packs/chargers and quick charged them.

She's definitely still queen of the castle here, though I don't let her out
