Question on Grain Flavors

So, I'm trying to figure out something here, and that's how to get an authentic grain flavor for one of my mixes.
What i'm looking for is that almost sour bit you get when you eat cinnamon toast crunch. Just that bit of heavy grain flavor that sits at the back of your tongue. I've got the cream base down for this, and I've got a good flavor profile for the cereal itself, but I can't quite figure out how to bring that grain flavor out at the end.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and hopefully in a few weeks, I'll have a wonderful Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal vape to share!

Have you tried Capella's Cereal #27? It's a mid-level note, oaty and grainy without being overtly sweet, fruity, biscuit-y, etc. It was a whim purchase, then once I figured out exactly what it was, it gets added to a lot of mixes, just for the notes it adds in there subtly. At under three bucks a bottle all over the place, I think it would be worth it to try. Might just be what you're looking for.

Have you tried Capella's Cereal #27?

+1 for this suggestion. Grain is the what came to mind when I first tried Cereal 27.

++1 For Cereal 27 It is used in a Cinnamon Toast Crunch vape I found on line. It also uses a small amount of FW Rice Krispies for another grainy aspect. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

I'll vote for CAP Cereal 27 too.

You might get away with some FW Hazelnut + FA Meringue in a pinch.
They seem to get used in many of the "cereal type" recipes I've seen around.
Maybe because the CAP Cereal 27 is a fairly new flavor I think...

I like Cereal 27, reminds me of Frosted Flakes, just not as sweet.

This suggestion may not work at all, I RARELY use this, but what about a very tiny amount of AP? I suppose it also depends on what you taste from that one.

Agree with the Cereal 27 suggestion.
I have FLV Cinnamon Crunch that I still need to mix up... So I can't attest either way to that one. I don't really care for the other Crunch FLV they have. (supposed to be their Caption crunch I think?)

I agree i like the FLV Cinnamon Crunch and dislike the crunch. I may try adding Cereal 27 to FLV Cinnamon Crunch as I feel this needs some supporting flavors.

I'm not really a fan of using AP straight. I might try some FA Cookie in the mix if Cereal 27 doesn't get me there.
No matter what I do, I can't get straight AP to behave for me, though I love Cookie...weird, huh?

That, and I ordered some Zeppola-FA, I might try adding some to give that Doughy kinda wet cereal taste to the mix, though I've never used it before, so I'll have to see if I like it first.

No, not weird. It pretty much hits me the same way, while Cookie is probably my fave flavoring, LOL.

I'm curious about that one. Got so many of that kind of profile (biscuit, cookies, wafer, AP, cereal etc etc etc) that I'm wondering if it's something I even want to open up. Lord knows, if it's awesome, I'll have a whooooole lot of recipes to rework.

Screw it, while I wait, I might as well whip up something with Zeppola. hmmm, strawberry cheesecake muffin...with CAP Sweet Strawberry and HIC Homevape Cheesecake? Ya, i'll try that, maybe add a little Joy-FA and some Nonna's Cake, depending on how it turns out first.
