Possible coil failure

I'm kinda new to vaping and my kangertech subvod isn't working. The light splash up and everything but no vapor comes out when I take a hit. Any solutions?

Have you replaced the coil in the atomizer?

After you learn more basics, you'll be building your own coils, they last and last, you save so much money.

Welcome to VU Andrewln 742

That little "TopTank Nano" tank that comes with the subvod is a nice MTL tank. The first thing I would do is get a new coil in it if you haven't replaced it at all. They tend to gunk up rather quickly with sugary juices. I was only getting about 1-2 weeks out of a coil before they started tasting foul.

My favorite coil in that guy was the .5Ω Clapton Coils --- They gave off the best flavor out of all the SSOCC coils available.

Also, when putting in the coil, make sure the 510 pin at the base of the tank and the pin inside the threaded area of the MOD are clean of juice / liquid.
I use a Q-Tip and some alcohol to clean them up before putty the tank back on the MOD.

I ended up putting a new coil in and its still not working. What do I do know?
Do you have a volt meter? You can test the MOD and make sure it is operating correctly, proper output voltage, etc.

Welcome to the forums!

If it is lighting up, and you aren't getting any vapor with the new coil, then it could be a couple of things. First, if you have another new coil, you could try that. It's not unusual to get a bad coil, they are mass produced and sometimes there are duds. If you do try another coil and it still doesn't work, then it is likely something with the connection between the mod and the tank. Here are some things you can try.
1. Make sure the coil is snug in the tank. Just be very careful that you don't over-tighten it.
2. Get a small jeweler's screwdriver and push down on the pin in the center of the connector on the mod. If it doesn't push, the carefully try to lift it a little bit around the edges of the pin with the screwdriver. Be very careful though, if it comes all the way out, you might be screwed. It doesn't need to come up much, probably between 1-3 millimeters.
3. Make sure that everything is tightened snug but not over tight. Over tightening can cause big problems on it's own. You never want to tighten anything more than finger tight or snug enough not to move.
4. Find a local vape shop and see if they can help you troubleshoot it. If there is a real problem, they should be able to identify it and help you find a solution (or sell you a new mod if it's that bad)

HTH!.
