Need help DNA device

Hello, I am still new to vaping and need help. I recently lost my Smok alien 220 mod at work, I then purchased a DNA250/167 dual 18650 mod from a company called esauce in the UK. The alien mod ran in series so I new that the voltage doubled, I don't know if that matters with a regulated mod but I know that it never went over 20 amps from my battery. I emailed the company that built my DNA device and asked them if the mod ran in series or parallel and was told that it was neither, that it was a balanced charged mod, but that I could compare it to parallel. The batteries however, go in opposite directions like series would. I have not set the mod up for temp control since I have not learned yet how to do this so I have been running in power mode. I started with a baby beast tank with a .4ohm coil at 58 watts and the voltage goes to over 5 volts but the amps stay below 20. I then bought an ijoy limetless xl and with a .15 coil at 88 plus watts the voltage below 4.2 and the amps go above 20 and I don't know if that is safe. The coil is rated between 55 and 110 watts, it doesn't produce any vape unless at 80 or higher really. I am using samsung 25r and lg hg2 batteries. How do I tell if it is series or parallel or does that matter with a DNA device? Am I going to blow myself up if I vape higher that 20 amps? I would really appreciate some advice.

You are using a regulated device and since you are using 2 batteries you should be fine if you go up to 30 amps.
I use samsung25r's in my two hOhm Wrecker mods and go between 80 and 110 watts with 0.15ohm coils just fine.

It's in series (8.4 volts) DNA 250 chips won't work at less, that's what the DNA 75 is for. I use LG HG2's in mine no problem with ether of the batteries you have.

A DNA 250 chip requires 3 18650 batteries in series (or 2 in series to work in 167W mode).
It won't work with a single battery or batteries in parallel.

Thank you for the the responses I appreciate the help. So to be clear I don't need to be concerned with the amperage going above 20 amps even though the device is running in series? Is it possible I messed the battery settings up in escribe? It shows set to lithium poly, 2 cell, 2400wh, 7.4 volts, but there is a max peak input current of 28amps and max sustained input current of 28amps which I don't know is correct because I mistakenly pressed the "restore defaults" tab. I had to go back and change the battery back to 2 cell and the watt hours but I don't know if I am supposed to change those amp inputs to. I cannot find any information online as to how to set these up for 18650 batteries so I figured I could ask someone on here who would have experience with these devices. I'm starting to regret the money I spent on this device, I should have bought another alien mod, it would have been cheaper and simpler. Again, thank you for the responses.

Yes, this will mess with the settings on the mod.

Here is a link to re-download the default settings (since you did a restore to default, which are not correct for that MOD).

There are two files in there. These are the Escribe profile settings for the Lost Vape Therion 166, dual battery profiles.

There are additional artwork files as well, that the profiles use if you wish to edit/modify them for anything.

These profiles were originally (and currently) provided by @Wingsfan0310

We also have a good thread regarding this MOD if you would like to go check it out. There is a lot of chatter/discussion about this MOD in here.

Dont' regret it just yet --- It is a little bit of a learning curve on the more advanced chipsets. However, they can provide you a very very good vaping experience. IMO, they are well worth the money.
