Seems this is the term being coined for the coil housing sitting in the middle of the tank, kind of like an RDTA, RTA hybrid (maybe time to update the section title? Hehe)

So I haven't had one of the beauties yet... had a look about and can only find the following. Has anyone tried all or some of these how would you rank them, I know there are a few reviews on the boards, I have read them but wondering if i can draw some comparisons from you guys:)

Secondly I think my favourite tanks to date are the RDTA style hence why these have peeked my interest... I have a tank in each class already(minus an RDA) - White Bone Mini, Boreas, Pindad are my favs. I'm yet to try this style though wondering how it also compares with these?

I like flavour over clouds, prefer DL, hate leaking, use 75% VG if this helps:)

I have the Coilart Mage Gta, it's good, I really can't detect a difference from it to say a Serpent Mini 25. Peeps say the chimney is a tad large & doesn't allow thicker liquid to flow. I use 70/30 vg/pg it looks like it's stuck but it's not. Doesn't leak if wicked properly.

GTA = Genesis Tank Atomizer..

I have NO idea why people like Coilart and Digiflavor decided to tag on that incorrect distinction to these tanks. Genesis style implies that the deck is sitting above ALL of the juice, not just part or half of it..

That being said, I own the Troll and the Mage. I LOVE the Troll, it's a flavor beast (the Mage isn't half bad either), but I don't consider its 'GTA' style to be the reason. I think these 'GTA' tanks vape 100% identical to how they would if the deck/chamber was seated at the bottom.

The ONLY thing I could see it helping with is wicking thicker juices because the tank section isn't as cramped down near the wicking holes / cotton as it is on regular RTA's, and MAYBE you could get a BIT of increased flavor output as the coils are closer to your mouth than they would be on a regular RTA. Neither of these things are very noticeable though, so I'm still going with the statement that they vape identical to regular RTA's for the most part.

Must admit GTA does sounds like a marketing gimmick suppose they need to use something to differentiate that build deck is central ...do you have the Exo RTA Mikhail? How's the Troll compare to that?

Was also checking out the upcoming Pharoah RTA as an alternative to this

The Exo is a very versatile tank, a jack of all trades if you will. Though, you know what they say: Jack of all trades, master of none, and I think this applies well here. The Exo has two nice decks, pretty good flavor, extensions for more juice and can blow some decent clouds. But it does not have amazing flavor, killer vapor production, a unique deck or truly HIGH juice capacity.. so it can do a lot of things right, it can do a lot of things well, but it can't do anything perfect.

All that being said, I think the Troll produces quite a bit more flavor than the Exo, vapor too. I like the Troll overall better than the Exo, not just for flavor.

I've pulsed fused claptons at around 180W without it melting or burning, so I would say no. It did make me nervous at first, but now it doesn't. I would avoid doing long, hard pulses on your coils but other than that, build it like any other deck.

You have to try the pindad JL for squonking honestly it's incredible better than the Gaia for flavour imo such a smooth vape am running dual normal claptons on it 26g 316L 34g KA1 wrap and it beats the Gaia using fused claptons

If you do get it use the 510 adapter the Boreas DT fits perfectly

I'm going to wait for the new Druga by Augvape to try an RDTA that squonks

It's made by the same company that brought us the Boreas and I like their atties a lot

Am hoping the dt converter for the Kennedy will work like it does on the Goon

Also don't like those huge choad-like drip tips

Also, I was confusing Augvape's Merlin RDTA with their Druga, lol

Druga is just a dripper with a squonk option :giggle::facepalm::giggle:

But I do have a Druga on pre-order

Yeah not sure on thier Merlin RDTA looks like it has a quite a few cons to me

1) air release pin hole is located in the bottom airflow channel that will cause leaks during refill
2) Delrin drip tip plugs the refill hole those threads will wear over time
3) there is a plate under the drip tip holds condensation on it so gonna get mouthful of liquid when you vape
4) no spare grub screws or glass for the tank provided
5) hate these integrated DT designs lately ...seems all of them are at it look at all of the "GTAs" in my OP :(
6) huge massive wicking channels to fill up overkill if you ask me
7) can't be squonked

although sure is a decent looking RDTA no doubt flavour is good as well

The OG Merlin is my absolute favorite single coil MTL RTA, so I will be trying out the RDTA absolutely, positively
