@Kevin H. have you been getting the steady downpour since yesterday? I don't know if/when this snow is supposed to come into play - it's still 39 degrees on my side of the State right now.

Still no delivery from USooPS either. :cuss2: I might have to come out to Springfield to investigate. I want my squonking atty dammit! You had better luck?

Thanks, Kev, while the pain might ease, there is no real recovery from a compression fracture without surgery.
Yeah. I think surgery would be only if she decided that she couldn't take the pain anymore. That's what happened with my OTHER foot, 5 years ago. Between everybody asking me what was wrong (by the way I was walking), and the constant, everyday PAIN.....(After trying to deal with it for about 2 years), I opted for the surgery. That foot has been fine ever since.....but the one now.....different kind of problem, and no surgery for fixing it. Just gotta hope that the second procedure does the trick. When all is said and done with this.....I'm "out of pocket" $1500.00 ......but I need to try to fix the pain!

I would definitely get a second opinion on that one before going there. We went through this with my friends Mom and a spinal compression fracture. It does heal but it's gonna take several months. She had to rest - a lot.

ETA: There's one thing about surgeons: They like to surgerize everything - it's what they do. Just keep it in mind.

I think that's what she's going to do, although the surgery is supposed to help quite a bit. She's keeping her options open because she's not crazy about having to take all the pain meds.

Good morning Whis and Corner Folk. Been a pretty busy boy lately with DW's care. Spending most of the day either at a Dr., on the phone with one or some other health care provider and home health care running in and out. That last hospital stay really weakened her but she seems to be coming back slowly. Time to get busy so y'all have a bodacious Saturday
