Ok so i recently purchased a baby beast rba since i was tired of purchasing coils for it. I pair it with a smok quantum brit.So i test (ohms tester) the coils and they are at .4 ohms. Put it all together test again, .4-.45. Now when i put it on my smok quantum brit it reads 2.2 ohms, if i put it on my hohmwrecker g2 i get .4, same with smoant battlestar. when i put on my avocado or griffen 25 plus to the smok quantum brit they all read the correct resistance for their builds. i have no idea what is up. I still havent tried it on my alien but i expect ill get correct results. Any ideas what this could be?

Does the smok quantum read other atomizers correctly?

Edit. Nevermind just reread what you wrote and it does. I'm not sure on this hopefully someone else will have some advice.

I'm guessing there is possibly something wonky going on with the 510 connection between the BB and Brit. Maybe the 510 pin on the BB is slightly shorter than the other atty's or the Brit 510 is more shallow or a combination of both.

Check the Brit's 510 connector. Sounds like it may be stuck, or crooked, or dirty.

thanks for the responses everyone. I threw the baby beast on my alien and it read 1.xxx ohms. took it down to the workshop and dremeled the bar on the rba coil that touches the 510 pin and now it is reading correctly.

Ah yeah. I remember reading about peeps having to do that. Didn't think of it, since it hasn't happened to me.

Glad you got it fixed!

What's strange is my big baby beast wouldn't even read if I over tightened it when I first got it. After a month I could tighten everything down and works flawlessly now.

Does grinding down the base of the rba that connects to the 510 run any risks of damage? Any possibility of arcing?

I can't see that it would cause a problem. It was already shorting, and now it isn't. I think you're golden.
I guess some were made a bit too flat on that bottom bar.
